  • Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder quite similar to Claustrophobia. In that, the cause is generally due to panic, or a fear of fear. This is a condition, in which you fear situations where escape might be difficult or help might not be available in the case of a panic attack.
It can be difficult to leave your home for treatment, so I’ve got you covered with my 90-Day Anxiety Elimination Program. This covers everything you need for eliminating panic disorders and you can do it completely from home.

Retired high intensity NHS therapist here. This is a good description. I've just realised that the fear of the market place, could also account for social phobia coupled with agoraphobia. Even though had some patients with both, the penny never dropped.

Thanks Philip, appreciate that! Yeah it would, wouldn’t it 🤔 Cause they are very linked those. I can’t remember the stat, but it was a pretty big number, the cases of agoraphobia that also have social anxiety, and also panic disorder combined.

I'm agoraphobic. Terrified to leave my house. My PTSD/PNES service dog can only do so much AFTER I get on the other side of the doorknob.
I've woke up in a PNES (psychogenic non-epileptic seizure) on days I have appointments.
I've been stuck in the bathroom being sick from both ends. Unable to get to appointments.
Scream crying while driving! I've had to pull over on the freeway to vomit.
    I HATE this!
I used to act & sing in front of thousands of people!
I've read the only way out of agoraphobia is exposure therapy.
This all started from military PTSD & MST (military sexual trauma).
It snuck up on me. Shrinking my world down to my house. My prison.
I have a tiny YT channel where I talk about this.
If you'd ever like to interview a 100% disabled female Marine Corps veteran from the early Desert Storm era ...
    I'm your old lady!

You described a recent experience I had EXACTLY. You also described the mental process that triggered it. I have struggled with claustrophobia on international flights to one degree or another for years. Recently, I went on a LONG trip to Africa and the anxiety I had to push through to get there was the most intense I’ve ever had. When I landed and was left alone in my apartment, halfway across the world from my loved ones, I had a thought hit me that “what if the anxiety I normally have in preparation to take a flight hits me here? I’d have no support.” That thought then produced feelings of VERY strong anxiety. I’ve NEVER had that before. Normally when I land, everything is fine from there forward and I’m just glad I finished the flight. So I see my initial fear of panic on a plane now bleeding over into a secondary problem when in a foreign land. This has potential to be debilitating with my job. Do you provide some help for people who are struggling with anticipatory fear of intense anxiety while flying and when at a long distance from home? If so, what course options do you offer and what is the cost? Do you have an email that you can be reached at or should I share mine?
