It is ok to take more time because you are spending time trading off w Luce. I have raised six children and one thing for sure, their babyhood goes by so quickly and you never get that time back. You are obviously doing it right w her. She is such a happy, verbal, intelligent baby and adorable! I admire how adaptable and flexible you are as parents and people. I also marvel at how advanced Luce is for her age. You will be settled in your new home before you know it. They add weight to the tiles so they cannot be dislodged in high winds or rain. A common practice.

Sometimes disappointment in something like the kitchen floor will turn out to be an asset when the kitchen is finished, and if you add a few small rugs you will learn to love the imperfections.. Your land looks wonderful and can't wait to see future progress.

Once a bed is in a new home it starts to become cozy! Despite all the plumbing etc which is still to do. Great to see so much beautiful progress, also on your stunning olive grove. And Luce talking so much, endless cuteness!

I love everything. When you put kitchen appliances, table and chairs, the floor in the kitchen will not be any problem. You can even throw a beautiful vintage rug on the kitchen floor if it is still bothering you. Personally I love it. And those views outside the windows are absolute perfection.
Please don’t let your beautiful daughter touch that peeling paint it’s probably lead based and is extremely dangerous. ❤ you guys!!!! Nonna

Luce's lovely little yellow trousers and her cute shoes and the way that kitten sitting behind her looks up. I loved the bow top too and her curiosity about the bed. So good to see that going in and what a view. It should be quick to move in once the bathroom is done and you have the kitchen more prepared.
The kitchen floor is original. I do not see a problem. Leave it as it is. It is as it should be. Perfection.

How wonderful you are teaching little Luce sympathy, empathy and love. Also the way God told us in His Word to take care of animals. And Luce has showed me to take care of a kitty in my neighborhood with food.

That was fascinating seeing how the ancient roof tiles are used. Such a beautiful place and the village has gorgeous light, I can see it as an artist haven! We are thrilled that Luca is an "old man"!!!
Plz be careful of Lucia touching the old paint ( old doors / shutters ) as that paint could have lead in it. By the time u get new cabinets and rugs , etc in the rooms (kitchen). You will not notice floor differences. I’ve noticed Luka seems to be getting much stronger. Happy birthday to him and may your next year bring him even better health and happiness
I was thinking the same about Luce, that it is dangerous to be touching or especially chewing on or swallowing that peeling paint, which has a high likelihood of having lead in the paint.
@@lindascott2008touching it is not the problem, it is a problem when you’re sanding it and you breathe in the fine particles. It is usually red paint that has lead in it.
I think the kitchen floor is beautiful as it is.
I was really glad to see the aerial drone that shows how high up your house is and the proximity to the church building. You are so smart to locate the water problem on the roof, and hopefully it is fixed. Loved to see Luca play with a friendly cat - can't get enough of her smiles. Ciao.

I have an idea for your tiles problem, which I saw in a local café. Instead of polishing/tiling/leveling the old floor, they used the VARNISH. After covering the whole floor with varnish/lacquer, it leveled perfectly with adding a constand wet look.
Considering the fact, that the spots on your tiles appear after they dry out, the constant wet look would help with that problem.
Maybe you would have a need to freshen the varnish time after time, butin case of my local café, they have not been doing anything to it for the last 4 years. And it looks more than good
I was thinking the exact same thing, so glad they saw your comment, varnish would be the best solution, the wet look is exactly what makes those tiles look the best, and it will level the floor, which I hadn't thought about, brilliant suggestion!

She likes to busy like her mum and dad. The kitchen tile is beautiful-it’s a floor in a 1000 year old house. The ancient tiles you have for your roof are equally lovely. I think y’all have found a slice of paradise ❤
I put terra cotta tiles throughout my new build house. After construction, the terra cotta was so filled with construction dust that I bought a machine like your crew had. I had to scrub and mop it for months to get it all out before I could seal the floor. You kitchen floor looked somewhat OK when it was wet. I was going to suggest a high gloss sealer. The wet look will probably be OK. Perhaps more coats. Buy a gallon and use a roller. I used a roller for my house. 2 thick coats did it.

A coat of varnish would spiff them up nicely, since they looked their best wet.
The floors are beautiful & the kitchen is a part of history. Once the kitchen is complete your eye will be drawn to other things. However the floor has it's own beauty. I think I would eventually change that kitchen floor, I thought it was going to look better when polished but sincerely it does not.
