All I can say is thanks, one hell of a lot, Just what I needed, just when I needed it. Very decent of you to record the details and to make them freely available to others.
Thank you sooo much for posting this video, it was extremely helpful and allowed me to get the job done. As it turned out the seating washer was not my problem, but rather the washer in the inflow mechanism (which you wisely said I should renew at the same time). If I had noticed that the water level in the cistern was filling up to the top of the square overflow tube, (well past the 11 litre mark on the back wall of the cistern), it should have been obvious to me that the Inflow was the problem and not the seating washer at the bottom of the cistern. You live and learn! Thanks again.
Thanks Peter Finally A video about an Ozzie dunny instead of an American loo (plus they go on and on and on and on). Short sweet straight to the point. Although my Caroma might be older, your video gave the basic idea of taking it all apart. I used Kinetic cistern repair 4980117(back of packet) from Bunnings $4.17 also fixed inlet leak.
Yes, same as Josiah below. Mine is the same unit but nowhere does it have the Caroma logo on it. So glad I didn't force the internals from the casing - can't wait until I do it properly. Thanks Peter
If water is continuously dribbling then lift lid off the cistern and check cistern is not overflowing first ,as sometimes even a small bit of grit in the ballcock valve can cause overflowing
In your other video 'Repair a leaking "Mini Toilet Cistern Water Tap Valve Shutoff Stop Cock"' where RUclips comments are turned off - how do you know that plumbers putty was used? Did you try to turn the shutoff valve and it wouldn't budge? I have an old shutoff valve that I wanted replaced so need to know how to discover if plumbers putty was used, so not to damage the pipe.
Caroma there are two Gen old and new style. old one is the toilet made between 1995-2005 and new is after that. so be careful the seating washer before you buy from meter10 old style is red color and size but new is black. after you put it in make sure the diameter inside ring is contact around the core other wise even you put the new one already but it will still leaking.
Thank you for posting this video. This Caroma DuoSet toilet is alot more complex and more difficult to take apart than the newer Caroma units!!!!

This caroma duo set is more harder to fix than the other caroma toilet
Great camera work my man! This is like giving a strip tease to your audience who's actually looking to get laid.
Thanks
