I tagged out on New York public land this year after not hunting since 2009 when I was 15. It took 4 days and 20 miles of hiking. I’ve learned so much from watching you guys this past year, and some of the most helpful content are tips like Warb talked about today; What to look for/avoid when finding a good place to setup quickly, how to manage your movements/position when a bird is on you. Also how to manage expectations and stay ready to capitalize when you haven’t heard/seen much all day. I appreciate all of your hard work, knowledge, and desire to promote ethical and legal hunting. Can’t wait for some deer tour content and to take on my first bow season here in the NorthEast. Thanks THP crew!
Sawyer's is great for preventing ticks, my buddy ended up getting alpha-gal from a tick and can no longer eat red meat or dairy, he also had a Dr in Florida misdiagnose his pain and that Dr took out his gallbladder, he saw a Dr in Virginia that diagnosed it correctly. I had never even heard about this until my buddy got it. Use Sawyer's and stay safe! Turkey tour has been cool to watch fellas, but I'm ready for deer season again! Good luck the rest of y'alls seasons!
I'll vouch for Permethrin! We started using it about 25 years ago in Mistickouri. Between the deer and the cattle the woods were loaded with ticks. Once we started treating our clothing with it, problem solved. Thanks for the master class in turkey hunting. Enjoy your ridge runnin' and holler hoppin' while you're young.
Congratulations Aaron and Ted. The way y'all move strategically to a proper calling location obviously makes a huge difference in your success. Thanks for the content and for the informative lessons y'all present. I'm sure glad y'all are continuing with this year's turkey tour.
I slowed down the footage of the shot, and that's probably the best slowed down footage of a shot on a turkey I have seen in a while. Beautiful bird. Congratulations. This turkey is a TRUE paint brush longbeard.
Awesome morning hunt y’all just took me on! THP turkey tour is definitely an online turkey college with some of the best turkey harvest educators anywhere! Aaron’s method of laying out the strategies and tactics of why success was met or not is priceless and so dang educational! Thanks for sharing your wisdoms, forever grateful for making me a better hunter!!
Welcome to our back yard! Way to go Warb, let ‘em go, let ‘em grow! We are blessed with a good number of jakes here this year. Hoping for another warm dry spring!!
Great teamwork bringing those birds in! Love watching ya'll calling, moving into position, all parts of success. Awesome hunts gentlemen! Love what you're doing ❤️
You can save permethrin by using the bag method. 1 gallon zip loc, roll your close up tight, stuff them into bags and pour permethrin in. Let the clothes marinade for a day or so and you will have even coverage over the entire piece. Save a lot of permethrin!
I appreciate the fact you guys stay with them mid-morning. I’ve enjoyed a lot of success in the past after 9:00 AM once the first hens are bred early morning. Finding a longbeard mid-morning who’s on the search for more hens can really pay off. Congrats, gents.
@@stacy7950 thank you so much. I actually won a prize from the hunting public Friday and the two conversations were totally different. They were saying I had to pay for shipping that was like $200
I just shot my first bird after 2 1/2 years of hunting. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you! Unfortunately my family didn’t hunt and I didn’t have mentors in turkey hunting like I found for deer. I sincerely believe that I could not have done it with out your videos, along with several other folks here on you tube. Thank you again!
Been there and done that with a small tree in barrel swing years ago. Learned that lesson and try to never setup in that arrangement. Way to be patience and great hunt.
It can be a real pain when you get visited by the "Brothers Jake." That was some really nice up close footage though. That was a smart play on that tom ...very smart play!
I knew that little tree was going to be an issue, and so did you. Luckily that bird had fallen for your love song. A nervous bird would have been gone, or kept moving by with no shot. Your patience and woodsmanship got that bird, along with some awesome footage from Ted. Congrats!
This is great!! It’s the kind of crow I’m willing to eat-after griping that the tour was over, and now I have a little hope. Gonna have to wait to watch, packing to head out on the last leg of my turkey tour in the morning. Guess I’ll have to pull down the THP crop top tee shirt that was on sale on Facebook-the THP ‘22 tour just got a little longer😉. Awesome stuff!!
I've been watching these videos religiously and seriously have to thank you guys for putting this great content out. Im self-taught and just started hunting this past year. Using a lot of the strategies you guys go over, I feel like I have learned years of hunting tips in one season! Even filled a tag today!
Good times and good company right there. I was laughing my butt off listening to Ted keep saying I've got him and warb was saying I can't shoot and the whole time I knew those trees were in his way. Patience payed off big time. Congrats fellas and be safe out there.
I think turkey hunting is really the ultimate. Obviously deer hunting is awesome too,I'm sure elk or pronghorn or bear is badass too but man turkeys are so damn intense!! It's very interactive!! I can't friggin wait til fall now!! I had never heard one drum until this spring, you can literally FEEL it in your chest!!! This was my first turkey season ever, and WILL be a turkey hunter the rest of my life. No question!!!
Awesome Aaron I'm glad you got one, I'm also so glad you guys don't shoot Jake's cause there really is something wrong with the population round here! Awesome video fellas!
What a great hunt. Your strategy was spot on and patience paid off. That was one smart Tom. I've had a tough Turkey Season here in SC with quiet birds and very little sign. Way, way different than last year. I'm not sure of what is going on but there is next season. Thanks for sharing and God Bless and safe travels home.
Hey guys, I extremely enjoy your videos! I am 63yrs old, live in the southern tier of NY. ( Chenango Co. ). I just enjoyed my first 2022 turkey hunt. What I want to share is the comparison of you young hunters, and myself. I do hunt public land, and will move on a bird. I do rely on my hearing aids, but still cannot hear the birds drum, or walk in the dry leaves! You have the advantage there. The bird in this first hunt walked in on me before I was ready!! What tips could you give an aging, devoted hunter? Oh, also, the bird gobbled approx. 30 times!! But came in the last 100yrds quiet
I challenge you guys to hunt Northeastern PA for turkeys. They are super hard to find and if they are around they are not gobbling. Would be a fun challenge to watch you all try!
I was bummed when yinz said no more videos for the year. Was so waiting for that south east Ohio video. Way to go guys. Me, my son an his two college buddies all scored long beards on the first weekend on Ohio public. Was wearin that Hunting Public old school Tree Bark hoodie with pride. Great Stuff from the PA boys.
So happy to see you guys getting all these birds I can’t wait till late fall so I can get on another one can’t wait to see the deer videos this year keep up the good work
Well I’m pretty sure it’s not the real THP boys just fyi. They tried saying I won something but couldn’t tell me what it was and needed me to pay like $200 in shipping so just be careful if they hit you up
That sawyer permethrin is some good stuff with no smell it works extremely well, my Walmart carried it last year but didn’t have it this year all they had was that stinky off spray
How you held off on those Jakes show how skilled and experienced you are. I kept yelling SHOOT HIM on the one on the left…all Jakes..great call to not shoot.
Well Missouri whooped me no turkey this year didn't have that many good days to hunt with all the thunder storms and work glad to see you guys getting it done
Well Ky season closed up and I’m in my depression stage per usual. Was happy with one gobbler based on what we’ve seen in this area. Thanks for the knowledge and motivation. Reckon Josh will do some therapy lessons ? lol
Good work fellas. I hunted the first three days in Ohio this year and was on birds, but nothing came in. Keep up the great content!!! Big fan of y’all!
Just so you all know. You can buy Permethrin in concentrated form at Tractor Supply and save a lot of money. (Thank Catman for the advice). Also do Jakes keep the short tail feathers for only one year? I've heard different 1/2 years. Thanks again for what you do and the way you do it.
Yall should have a section of your website where your viewers can pay you for an individual consultation about hunting tactics. It could be very personal and specific for guys who want advice. You could go as far as having different prices for different amounts of time as well as being able to select which of the THP guys the customer gets to consult with. Could be a potential revenue source for the crew and it would benefit your serious viewers.

Excellent advise. My wife and I don't want any tick illnesses. Takes longer to recover the older I get. Worth it.
Prime example of a bird being taken by pure woodsmanship.
Patience, Persistence and Positioning. Great video guys. Congrats.

Have you ever tried saddle hunting turkeys with a bow???
If a turkey had a nose like a deer nobody would ever be able to get one.
That was a tough bird most people would have gave up on him and pursued something easier Great job boys💪
Already lookin forward to March when all the good hunts from late season get dropped next year! Def get ya fired up for season!
Congratulations!! I ended up pulling a tick off my butt in the Midwest this spring that was the size of a tarantula!! 😂
Great job on last minute harvest
