I placed an order in the app and immediately wrote to the owner asking him to send instructions on how to receive the car. A message with the address arrived in the mail, I went to the address and was there 40 minutes before the appointed time. I told the owner that I was there, but he simply stopped answering me and asked me to send him my driver’s license, which is very strange, because I had already arrived. Then he started sending some strange messages that he was near the airport and I would have to pay for parking at the airport. It’s not clear what he forgot there, since the address was indicated outside the airport and I waited for him there for more than 40 minutes. Then he canceled my order without my consent and demanded that I pay a fine, it’s not clear why. In short, I lost a lot of my time, nerves, did not get the car and all the money.
I looked into possibly renting my vehicle out on this app. 40% of the profit goes into Turo insuring your car and then you have to split what's left with them. Put wear & tear on your vehicle for cents on the dollar! Makes a lot of sense...for them!
Yeah, it's pretty bad. I'm sure Hollywood is going to be renting your car for a movie shoot. Most likely it will be a slob who tarnishes your vehicle so you can earn a few bucks. Totally not worth it unless you're renting out an old junker, but who wants to rent that.
