Great video. I recommend using a pipe cross in place of the tee and add a safety valve. Just in case the pressure runs away. Also don't forget to wear your ear plugs. It be loud.

Great suggestion. Self preservation is a priority! I usually only use an orifice gauge on portables or large screws in factories. the safety valve on the separator should pop but you know when to many things are wrong ... great idea.

Recently stumbled on your channel, lots of good info!
Could you make a video on who owns who? Is Quincy is owned by Atlas Copco? Kellogg American is owned by CompAir, who is then owned by Gardener Denver ?! Any others?
This might be a future video for electric guru... There is one MFR that makes a 10 horse single phase (Eaton / Polar Air). I have all the power... Something else i should be aware of?
Who uses whose pumps? Eaton uses Kellogg American, any other cross brand use?
Why is 185 CFM so popular for portables?
Anyways, I'd love to see more videos, maybe some to answer the questions above 😁

I do maintenance on compressors around my area. What would you say is healthy pump up time for 5hp, 2 stage, 80 gal @150 psi? I recently changed a tank for a body shop that had pinholes in the tank bottom and they had tried to repair with epoxy and ran it for a few years like that. They wrecked the pump valves from running 100% duty when the plug patch failed. Valves were colored blue from heat. I should send you a picture.
