On immigration you're missing the point, everyday thousands of people are arriving in Italy, Greece and many other locations on dinghys and through other means. They throw their documents away so you have no idea where to send them back to. They've already arrived at a beach somewhere, so what do you do...? Half the places the people are from don't even have return schemes like Syria

There is a UN treaty that is respected by most countries, on refugees prosecuted because of politics, conscience, religion etc. This is a human right. By not accepting them, Hungary violates not only EU treaties but also UN treaties and treaties on human rights.
But this is a very limited group, restrictions are tight.
Second group are refugees because of war. Also a UN treaty to give those temporary stay and safety. Also not respected by Hungary in violation with UN and EU treaties.
Third group are those who migrate to get a better life. Largest number of people. Those can be refused by countries, and be send back. They only get a temporary stay for the time their request is processed, and cannot relocate to other countries during that time. But if they cannot be expelled for any reason, an EU treaty makes sure that all members take their share, to make sure Greece, Spain and Italy do not get overloaded. Hungary violates that treaty as well.
Fourth group are invited migrants, usually qualified workers and foreign students who apply for EU entry in their home land, before (temporary) migration. After a problemless stay of five years they can apply for a permanent EU stay. With a temporary or permanent permission, people can migrate within the EU to enhance their career, relationship or other reasons. Few will go to Hungary because of discrimination and racism. On the other hand, Hungary uses this procedure to become a gateway to the EU for citizens of Russia, Belarus, and other former USSR countries, who do not qualify for other EU members. With a Hungarian permission of entry, they can go to any Schengen country and stay in Hungary for only a few weeks. Thus overloading others with 'unwanted' people.

About Hungary: Asylum seekers come to Europe. In order to deal with sometimes insane numbers, the EU decided to distribute them evenly to all of its member countries, so that not a specific country has to host too large numbers of them and doesn't get overwhelmed by them and the financial stress this is putting on them. Hungary refuses to take those migrants that are distributed to them. So Hungary is paying huge fines for violating EU law in this regard. These fines are then used to host these migrants somewhere else (e.g. Germany, France, etc.) instead and the money is helping to pay to host those migrants.
Now instead of starting to take those migrants, they actually started to attract new migrants from Russia and Belarus -which is insane. I assume Hungary likes migrants from a Russian-/Slavic culture more than a muslim or someone from Africa for say.

The Hungarian gov. is pretty stupid. They should have accept the 1300 pep. and that's it. But the problem was: they had a very racist propaganda in play and they couldn't go against themselves with this so they did this... well... after all the pep. will pay it and they don't care. This is not the first. They went against the media control of EU and so on, it' very much similar at the moment as Russia what they do. "The old values are the best" "religion is important", we can go on, that's the same in Putin's propaganda in Russia what he tells to Russians.

as a german i can confirm that migrants from slavic countries are much better intigrating into western european society and willing to work and adopt the local culture than migrants from middle east or africa. This is not only my personal opinion but was shown in different sociological studies. If you take into account that europe has a huge demographic problem which leads to problems finding workers for vacant jobs its obvious one needs immigration to stay compatative. So hungary just wants control over the immigration, which should be a right every countrie has. Uncontrolled immigration leads to draining the walfare state, higher crime rates and the rise of nationalistic and populistic parties.

@@Willit1985 yeah, that’s bullsh… isn’t it? UK had very serious issues for a long time with immigration and working but not with North Africa or India. They have many problems with Hungarian and Polish immigration in number one place. At this point they hate them where they live in bigger numbers. Why? Because they don’t like to work at all but they like the money. The immigration from outside EU works harder than them. Now refugees because of war (thanks to us and USA) are a very different story. That few million people were here because of wars and not standard immigration. So talking about “integration” the same way as slavish people is again nonsense.

It is changing the indigenous culture and values of Britain as under multiculturalism the migrants do not take on our culture or values. This is leading to people turning to parties like Reform or National Rally in France and this will continue as the consequences of migration continue.

All EU member states are members of the Council of Europe, a non-EU body (which predates the creation of tge EEC and EU) and are therefore signed up to the European Convention on Human Rights which requires them to accept asylum seekers. The EU cannot instruct member states to violate the ECHR. The EU could remove the requirement for EU member states to belong to the Council of Europe but it would then be up to the individual states themselves to withdraw individually. Most would baulk at that possibility as even the UK (still an ECHR signatory) has done, despite calls by right wing parties such as the Reform Party to do so.
No one is contemplating the expulsion of Hungary from the EU: expulsions are not legally possible - countries can only leave voluntarily (as happened with the UK). The EU can, however, punish member states by various means including fines. Hungary is resisting having to pay these fines by threatening to send unwanted immigrants to Brussels.

When the world becomes a more dangerous place countries will revert to keeping themselves safe and leaving their neighbours to look themselves too, it is human nature. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened and it will cause the EU to rethink the Schengen area, which will also create problems with the Single Market. But as the SM is the keystone of the EU itself there are interesting times ahead. Many in the UK who voted to leave the EU were concerned about this type of scenario but we are yet to see controls to our borders.

What nasty things? Well, shouting at people for one, physically handling them for another etc. I recently saw the so called border forces of the UK try and capture drug runners who had huge values of drugs in their boat and all we could muster was a weedy little weak voiced individual asking if they would be so kind to stop their engine and allow the officers to board them and arrest them. Of course they didn't but over and over there was the "For safety can you please turn your engine off, for safety sir..." A proper border force would have shot the outboard motor or tried to disable it.

He brought this issue, about Schengen and Germany's borders up and but that to the interviewee who basically thought that it was fake news, made up conspiracy stuff somehow involving a bloke in his mums house etc etc. The guy literally had zero clue, just wanted back in as somehow we were better off etc etc and now we are poor and dying and evil for having left.

7:20 it’s simply because of colonisation and exploitation of those countries … Europe lacks almost all resources that you can think of that makes a country/continent superpower 😀 so they prospered to the point where they are today simply by stealing and exploiting americas ,Africa , asia and Oceania 😀 that’s why they are afraid to say no to asylum seekers because those countries are not in a shape to be living in simply because of europes devide and rule policy 😀 and let me tell you another think , the Mesopotamien civilisation, Indus Valley civilisation, Chinese civilisation, Egyptian civilisation, even some Latin American civilisation were far more advanced, prosperous and civilised then any European civilisation that you can think of .. and Europeans are the one that went to these great dynasties/empires for business and then eventually colonised them 😀 it’s very simple why they can’t say no to migrants

7:24 and yes it’s much more complicated then you can think about 😮‍💨 another example of that - only the British empire stole roughly 45-50 trillion dollars worth of wealth in just 250 years of exploitation of Mughal empire. to put that into prospective it’s roughly 15 times the size of British economy and doesn’t even include all the unfair treaty that prevented these colonies from any prosperity 😮‍💨 Mughal empires gdp went from 27% of the entire planet’s gdp in 1700s to only 2-3% of global gdp when British left South Asia 😮‍💨 so yeah it’s a lot more then you can think about

@@david__026 but had nothing to do with Europe being the centre of the industrial revolution to change GDP ratios?
1800 to 1860 the Uk produced third of the worlds production of pig iron, how much profit did the working class share in?
yes, l'm aware empire officials and businessmen destroyed the local iron industry forcing to buy from Uk
at the same time in the Uk factories were sabotaging by other factories for profit
      unregulated capitalism exploits everyone
early 20th century having a huge merchant navy of thousands of vessels
adding 250 years of inflation to crops harvested 250 years ago to gain figures to calculate what was 'stolen'
todays value of those crops is zero

one question, if they were so far more advanced, prosperous civilized and developed, how was it even possible for the supposedly underdeveloped primitive Europeans to conquer them?!
Also your claim that Europe is lacking almost all resources is literally nonsense, Central European countries like Germany, Denmark, Poland, Czech, Hungary, Slovakia,Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, even Ukraine before being torn through the war, as well as France and Sweden are capable to become fully self-sufficient (also Just so you know: many of these countries didn’t even have participated in the colonization of Africa or other countries, the slaves for example are actually the first group of people other Europeans have enslaved centuries bevor a European have made in to the african continent. Which is also the origin of the word slave, The Romans saw the Slavs as nothing more than a people of serfs and servants, which meant that for the Romans every member of the Slavic tribes was automatically their property and born to serve them, which is why for the Romans at some point every serf and servant, even if they did not belong to the Slavic population group, have become a Slave

      VERY well said!
Hopefully, all the complainers will let THAT sink in: which I seriously doubt!
The "indigenous" of North America, New Zealand and Australia were oppressed and have mostly been eradicated: those remaining, have nothing to say in their own continent. The South Africans have long endured "apartheid" and are still dealing with the consequences of that oppression and the land grab.
The least Europe could (wisely) do, is to support the economies in the (refugee-) countries and create development possibilities: when there's a serious lack of economic opportunities, people will fight or flee to another safe country!
Leaving your home country, family and friends behind is never your first option (unless you're left no other choice)!
Maybe Europeans should be more reasonable and understanding.
It's a pity, that some European countries that never colonised other continents, now also have to deal with the influx of migrants.
But nevertheless: just let the "far right" take hold over Europe and we'll then see, what becomes of this smart old "wealthy" continent.😏
