Lily Ozulumba I’m in a middle school orchestra and we are playing this
Whydontwe_ Weirdgirls same we playing this for 6th grade chamber orch
Samee
yess 😂 what do you play?
(btw i play violin)
This song is a good chamber orchestra audition song
i learned that the hard way lol
Malia Mischke do u mean the whole thing or an excerpt
My chamber orchestra is probably gonna play it. It’s a fun piece.
For our chamber orchestra it’ll be our finale piece 🎉🎉
"I want you to look up the next piece we'll be playing, I'll have the sheet music next time."
*listens to the first 30 seconds*
SWEET MONGOLIAN FUSTERCLUCK
Paladin Mixer lol true
As someone who's played sixteenth notes a bit faster in my school orchestra I can say you'll do fine. You just have to get locked into swinging your arm first. Then its just a matter of mastering the notes for it!

exactly what I thought lol. now that I know how to play it it's not as bad as I thought it was gonna be.
Richard
You shouldn't be allowed to be this good of a composer
Wait till you see hemispheres lol
if you aren’t sweating after playing this piece you’re doing something wrong. 😂 after playing this song in rehearsal, i’m all pumped up and sweating a bit. i play second violin for this song in my orchestra, i can’t imagine how the firsts feel after playing it.
bestie...idk how i even survive haha-
Haha I’m a first violin and I my arms feel like they are sticks and I can’t ply anymore 😭😭
I can play this at about 1.5 speedbut my arms aren't tired, just try get into the swing and the rythm. A lot of it is really just syncopation.
first violinist and basically in a nutshell, we die lmao
Try playing "Evil Eye and the Hideous Heart" for First Violin and ALMOST AT TEMPO-
This is why I love Meyer
MoonSoul88 I like him most of the time, but I hate his pizz parts no one asked for and are really boring tbh
@@trajan_x0128 you just don't like playing that part don't you
Heard this for the first time and now begging my conductor/teacher to have us play this in the spring WISH ME LUCK
Haha me too! I suggested mine so hopefully MY group likes it enough to play it 😭😭
My advanced class is teehee 🤭
My conductor/teacher says REPEATEDLY that its too advanced for us, but me and my friend keep bugging him about it anyways
@@PerilMax3 took me a good thousand times, KEEP BUGGING IT WILL WORK SOONER OR LATER !
@@PerilMax3 Has he ever changed his mind about it lol

When I first heard this my brain went “ahh heck nah!”
ive played the violin for 8 years and this is a very very beautiful peace
Jasmine Rangel Is this... Is this sarcasm?
Yet you still don't know how to spell piece...
smh
Lmao
I think so too I play violin for 3 years
I love Richard Meyer's music
i played this about two years ago and i’m going to be honest, i thought my hand was going to fall off and my bow was going to break.
This song is amazing! It is also really challenging and fun to play. I have been playing violin for almost 5 years
Richard Meyer is nothing less than a sigma male, change my mind!
richard chad meyer
Dude is, in my opinion, the greatest scholastic composer of the modern era
@@WillTheBassPlayer richard ain’t got nothin on doug spata
James Diehl yeah, Doug Sparta is amazing. March of the wood elves and gargoyles are some of my favorite orchestra songs I’ve played. Although now I kind of associate gargoyles with a really sad part in a book I was reading at the time we played it… but that’s my fault.
richad meyer
This song makes me think of 20s evening gowns. I’m a dress history nerd, though, so everything reminds me of some historical era.

@@jdsarfo610 I'm 1
@@TheRealKat_ I used to be a first violin, but I switched to bass
My fingers cry when playing this song (worth it)
Played this in our HUGE high school chamber group and IS SO FUN OMG. Little hard without a conductor tho lol😅
why did you not have a conductor!!
@@Polorx_ LOL was a chamber group, meaning you don’t play with a conductor and rely on looking at section leaders during the pieces!
*cries in I’m in middle school playing it*
only freaking piece I actually like playing. I hadnt played practiced the violin out of school until I head this song. :D
I played this piece in my Melbourne youth orchestra!
As in Australia? Well glad you Aussies got a little slice of a good old American fiddlin
Me and my chamber orchestra are playing this but we did it way faster than this😂
Its the dynamics and style changes that make this song good. Speed is just a byproduct
Wierd flex but ok
Oof
but did it sound good
@@jdsarfo610 I mean with a song like this, it’s not hard to make sound good
My fingers hurt so much playing this but it was so fun!! Never again though 😂
My new favorite orchestra pice
This is the one orchestra song I listen to that my sister actually likes
There is a kid in my class that memorized the entire first violin part
Played this in our orchestra concert this year it was so fun
I had my orchestra concert tonight and the older advanced kids played this
One of my teachers made meatballs for us because we play this piece really well even though it wasn't concert week yet!

if you from Louisiana, comment “WHATS GUD”
amaris milano This Songs name “swamp thang feels aggressively Florida to me” but it’s subtitle “stompin’ the bayou” and it’s sound feels aggressively Louisiana to me.

New chances new dances by richard Meyers is one of my favorites, I love him
Love this song!
Can't wait to play this in our concert!
I’ve only been playing violin for 2 years yet this is a song along with 2 others I’ve gotta learn
Even after ten years of violin this still made me sweat lol
My teachers gonna get this. We’re gonna try and play it in the Spring and we’ve been playing for a bit over 2 years. He says he doesn’t know what he did that made us so good. 😂
Damn, we’ve been playing for two years, and we still do level 1-2 music.
I’ve been playing for 3 years I’m on level 5 or 6
For my whole first year of bass I wondered why anyone would want to play swamp thong.
Might be playing this for our last second year concert I really hope our teacher lets us
i like the cello
Dang I wish were playing this for UIL this year we’d definitely impress the judges MRS SEGAPELI can we play this pleaseeeee

Swamp Thang...Louisiana... THIS SHOULD BE SAL’S THEME FROM IMPRACTICAL JOKERS XD
HAHA YES
xD
Imma suggest it to see if some 7th graders can play it in a month or 2!
I did it don't have it completely
I'm trying to play this as a seventh grader, it's hard but not all the parts.
did it work?
Our 7th grade orchestra learned it in about a week or so we I’m in 8th now
Ima suggest this to my teach tommorow i started violin in 6th grade and im in 7th rn, this is gonna be soooo fun
lol i remember playing this two years ago in region. it was really fun. but i didnt lose any bow hairs XD
this sounds hard
My orchestra teacher teased me with this song
@Hot Patrick username checks out
Playin' this piece, honestly not that bad with a bit of exposure therapy.

very angry and menacing goblin boss music
Y’all say this hard to play and that your gonna break your bow pfft. That means you don’t practice enough🥱🥱🥱
I'd assume that a bow breaking means they're working hard ! And this is a piece worth mentioning requires a lot of endurance and dynamic, it *could* feel like your bow is gonna break.
What genre of music would this be
AtherOfTheVoid shrek
classical I believe

THIS IS FOR FRICKIN 4TH GRADERS????????????!?!?!?!?!??!
No💀 It says grade 4 for orchestra not normal grade
Lol it's based on the grade level of the orchestra. Basically u learn by practicing with different level books to play that level of music. For example this piece would be level 4 of books or around high school from where I'm from. (And srry if it's to late to comment but just making sure u knew)
Sounds a bit like megolovania
