12:00 Damn, Charles Barkley was right about San Antonio!
I remember this year very well and how shocked all basketball fans were that 5 games before the end of the season, as we were all talking about the Warriors tying or beating the Bulls record... they were not even sure to finish with the first seed! The West was so good that year, to me it always kind of puts in perspective the ring that LeBron got and that a lot of his fans say was one of the greatest ever. The East was really weak in those years, almost as weak as in the early 2000s.

It’s insane that all 3 of those teams could’ve won the title that year, put any of those teams in the East and i doubt Lebron gets to the finals. I wonder what would’ve changed if the Spurs go on to beat the Thunder. I don’t think they beat GSW but does KD go to the Warriors? Does Duncan retire? Imagine the alternate timelines.

Two of the greatest Spurs teams without winning the championship (this one and the 2012 squad) got bounced by the stupid Thunder. They crapped the bed against the Heat in 2012 and against the Warriors in 2016, but brought their "A" game against us. Losing two great chances to get a ring against Captain Charmin and Statman. Pisses me off.

Honestly think 2012-2013 spurs are the best team to never win a ring swept the first couple rounds and then just had a mental collapse against okc but it’s more than the numbers that team had cohesiveness, quick decisions and the wisdom of the big three in their purest

I will be honest, spurs are my 2nd favorite team, well at least at that time, and they were not that great in this season, their ball movement saved the roster, kawhi wasn't the kawhi we know today during that season yet, when they played thunder, coach pop decided to make kawhi iso all the time disrupting the starting lineup ball movement and touch, and he wasn't ready so he performed subpar, while the bench kept spurs in the game, its an unfortunate circumstance because it costed them the entire series, but they kinda made up for it next season, kawhi finally reached his potential

2016 had great moments, but as a season, it absolutely sucked. I think any logical fan knew from the very get go that nobody in the East was a threat to the Cavs. Everyone knew the warriors were facing the Cavs, & it was a formality from the start.
The rest of the league outside of the Warriors, Spurs, & Cavs were absolutely terrible, even the pretenders Raptors.
Give me the 2008 or 2010 season with all 8 western conference teams within 7 games of each other. That's more exciting than the 2016 snoozefest.
