Pro tips:
- don't do a raid with iron armor, wait till enchanted diamond.
- use slow-falling in end
-in endgame, make sure to only wear your elytra when flying and when it's absolutely safe. as long as you don't step closer to the creeper than it already has with full diamond armor, you'll be fine.
-other deaths are caused by just being dumb
Another one: Invest in fire-resistance potions, especially in the Nether. Remove the fire, and then Nether isn't that scary, outside of fall damage and knowing when to pick a fight.
Also also, do not rely on bread to heal you. If anything, carry around two types of food. One for just replenishing hunger, the other for the higher saturation that will heal you quick. That way you aren't burning through steaks when you could've used them in a time of need.
Also: USE YOUR SHIELD CORRECTLY
Also : don't mess with the enderman when you're not ready..

why do people just casually walk into the ender dragon's fire when on half a heart
Issue is it's a lot harder to notice when you are actually playing since you are so excited that you are about to kill the dragon and win the game

The particle effects start at the same time as the time as the damage and enderman kinda radiate purple particles so I think it's understandable

I know right, even in my first hardcore run I didn't do it, I died in the end but after the fight I died during the travel to get elytra, nowadays after a year of playing hardcore minecraft I learned from my mistakes, now I hold a personal record of 4 months, 2,000 in game days and strive to increase it (yes i havent died yet)
Edit: I died in may 8th to the end void while upgrading my enderman farm, i fell because my game frame dropped while i was flying around it and i was facing down, due to the frame drop i couldnt change my direction upwards and died while eating a enchanted apple and trying to escape

One rule in Minecraft is carry a water bucket in your hotbar at all times.
Water buckets don't work in the Old Nether or the New Nether(Nether Update)

What's so funny to me about most of the hardcore players here is that most of them make the same mistakes making reckless decisions, not paying attention, being ill prepared for tough fights or not being careful enough sure if the game buged on you or if a mob spawned in front of you and started attacking you instantly and you die moments later or the bad luck that's acceptable to be mad at the game but when your cause of death was the result of your own actions or decisions you can't be mad at the game you only be mad at yourself and that's something most hardcore players refuse to learn and accept
