HI. I come from Limpopo and its one of most safe province in south africa. you had nothing to worry about. its amazing, the community is totally friendly and accommodating. its one place that you can survive stranded without money. Thank you for visiting Limpopo.
Hey Mulaudzi 😄 thank you so much for your comment! After having spent a few days there, we agree with you 100%! Its a great province that we would absolutely love the chance to go and visit again 😁 actually, we are going there tomorrow but hush hush, we can't tell you too much just yet 😆
Wow im south african but so far ive been paying too much attention to foreign vanlife channels. Its time to promote our own. Its all about the views guys so please let the camera be your eyes
South African truckers will tell you that hooting inside the tunnel is important to scare the ghosts away. There are some people who lost their lives inside these tunnels during an accident an their spirits were never "fetched". So now the belief is they are loittering inside the tunnel and to avoid them causing trouble hoot so they move out of the way.
From South Africa been roadside stealth camping for some 40 odd years. I do not boondocks camp in towns that is damn dangerous, if no other choice i use truck stops / ask at the local hotel who can help, everyone knows the danger and are very helpful. Even small town caravan parks are a target for mostly tik-heads I usually cook / eat / shower in the town - garage fore-courts are a good option then move out just at dusk to a pre scouted spot about 20 km away. Cell phone tower access roads / features fence access roads / elevated roadside embankment are choice sites, stealth up dive in and I'm done, and leave at pre-dawn. A small, wide-awake mutt will advise you of those who want to relive you of your possessions / life, so make sure you are well stocked with self defence multipliers all over your rig. But the key is nobody knows you are there -so you are 100 % safe
Grew up in Pietersburg....Haenertsburg, Magoebaskloof, Ebenezer dam was our playground... many a good campfire stories to be told 🙂such a special, beautiful part of the world.
Such a beautiful part of South Africa 😍🇿🇦 we are actually back here again on a different trip and enjoying it just as much! Amazing that you have so many fun memories here 😄
That Canyon is Magical - Primordial - green, like a place where our early human ancestors could begin and thrive. Wow! I want to make a movie these about Cro-Magnons.
As a South African, South Africa is definitely not as unsafe as it's made out to be. For this it's like anywhere else in the world: wrong place, wrong time and anything is possible. Main thing is to be streetwise and the best is too always stay in a camping ground. Though it might look tempting as elsewhere in the world, but the wild thing is just not worth the risk.
Very true 🙌🏼 the only reason we wild camped in this case was because we didn't have another option and literally could not find camping places nearby. I think we just ran out of luck because some sites were closed to visitors 😅
@@SarahandMarek yes I do. If I am not mistaken, I think you guys were parked next to me in Sedgefield in the PnP parking lot. Unfortunately on that particular day I was quite frustrated and I may have not been the friendliest of people around....seriously, if that was you, I truly am sorry for looking quite irritated. I drive a very old golf that I had turned into a part time camper to see if I would manage the nomadic life. If you guys ever come back through the garden route please let me know before hand. I would love to buy you a cup of coffee.
Hi there.. nice to see another campervan in South Africa.. vanning around is awesome.. accommodation road style suits us and having a portable loo is cool.. We are pensioners and built our own Camper van out of a 2004 Peugeot Boxer.. love it.. Now we living the dreams of the youth of our old age...keep it safe on the roads..Maybe we bump into one another somewhere.... check it out.. enjoy guys.. regards Jaunti van life
Wild camping is cool but a big white van in South African woods must be as stealthy as a T-Rex in London city:) Nice try thought. South Africa looks Amazing:)
Thought SA is damn dangerous for wild camping? So i was told when i was there on my South African road trip. I stayed in hotels throughout my stay in SA, until i crossed the border to Botswana that i could wild camp without fear
Have you ever tried Baobab fruit? 😋
No chance and never will. Tuna far better
No...never!

You have to honk through tunnels! Especially for the little ones. They love it!

Sorry to hear that the first time the baobab fruit came in your mouth, it was dry.

Hahaha you've got a good point 😂 We didn't have much chance at being stealthy 😅 We are so happy to be exploring South Africa more! 🤩
Oooo so what did the baobab end up tasting like in the milk?
Also loved the video! Blown away at the quality, such a treat to watch😊
Thanks so much Becks! 🥰 I'm not sure if we did it right, Marek thought it made the milk thicker but I couldn't really taste a difference 🤷🏻♀️
@@SarahandMarek ah shame, slightly anticlimactic.🤷♀️ At least it was a fun experience on its own😊🙌
