LOL Lois! I'm good at copying things I see, but I struggle with drawing things on my own. Everyone keeps saying that practice is the biggest part of getting good a drawing, so I've been trying to practice more
I saw Gowan in November in London Ontario. He was amazing! He's in his 60s now but he was so lively. I recommend seeing him if you can! It was so much fun.
Kim Daniel amazing! Want to hear something cool? I shared that page on Instagram and tagged Gowan in it and he commented to say he liked it! It was a total fangirl moment, lol
All these pages came out so, so pretty! I love the way you find sources to help you draw. Thank you for sharing your work... I have a question--I'm trying to get started in my small Dylusions journal. I'm such a newbie. The left-hand pages don't lay as flat as the right, and I could not succeed at getting any stamps to imprint properly. Every time I try, I only get a partial print. Any suggestions on making stamps work there? Is there something I should put underneath? (that interior envelope in the front may be what's causing trouble, not sure. Anyway, I'd hate to stamp on paper and cut out all my stamped images to place throughout the journal. Thanks!
Catie B Thanks Catie! Stamping in books can be tough for sure. I get best results when I put something behind the page that’s just a little soft like fun foam on top of chipboard. And it’s important to press firmly for a good amount of time. I definitely don’t get it perfect every time, lol
@@jackiw7 You are so sweet to reply to my question. Thank you sooo much! I'm a hazard where stamping's concerned. I kept fidgeting with it off and on last night and finally found a publication that is just the right thickness to stick behind those left hand pages. I hadn't thought to put something behind the cover itself--that sounds very helpful to raise the surface and give yourself a fighting chance. Thank you again!!
I glue he first and last page to the cover. That page that is sort of "attached" and doesn't want to lie flat. After it dries, there's no more issue with it.
Brenda's describer love your pages but especially love that you would leave them up long enough for us to actually see them without flipping through too fast
Hi was the stamping on the dog page...the letters in the quote a stencil or a alpha stamp set and what make is it? Thanks in advance for any information...I need a good alpha stamp set??
vivian wiltshire I stamped those words using a Dylusions alphabet stamps set I bought at Michaels about a year ago. I'm not sure whether they still sell it or not

Also, I find propping up the cover helps it lie flat, so I put something like a magazine behind the cover
