i think a lot of early ramp contributed to that, especially coffers combo getting out sheoldred. which, notably is one of the two cards i thought really made the most impact this game (the other being demonic tutor)
Gyome also offers fresh gameplay for golgari imo. But he's not as strong as Ygra. Witherbloom precon/golgari life gain is also quote fresh imo. Only been a thing since strixhaven i think
I’m constantly trying to find ways to make Bello work but he’s so easy to remove right at combat step and then you have a full board of tapped dead enchantments and vehicles. I think he’s probably OK in super casual groups with low interaction
Pray every game I see Asceticism or Archetype of Endurance. I run a decent amount of Hexproof/Indestructible, but i keep running into Farewells and Winds of Abandon. Plus its do hard to balance removal and protection...
This Ygra deck hits pretty hard, I'm making my own using the squirrel precon as a skeleton so it's kind of a squirrel aristocrats cult thing going on. I'm still not sure I'm convinced on academy manufacturer, or atleast it depends on the deck mine is more focused on making creature tokens than food tokens exactly and with how Ygra works they won't enter as food they will become food once on the field so it would not trigger AM, Academy Manufactorer is obviously a good card but I'm not sure how great it is if your deck isn't focused on making food specifically and part of the benefit of Ygra is since creatures are food you can make armies of tokens rather than having to make just food artifacts. I feel your losing out on part of his benefit if you more focused on food generation over creature/creature token generation.
I did the same thing. I took the squirrel deck, and I made it into a resurrection/ artifact food. I added a few of the Lord of the Rings card for the food sacrifice and a lot of removal. Usually they would kill my cat and I'd just reanimate it back
Regarding the Bello gameplay: Why did you not attack with your other non-creature artifacts and enchantments so many times? It's not like you couldve blocked with them anyway, since Bello's animation effect only works on your turn. And why ramp so hard to 10+ lands when you could've played Bello four turn cycles ago? 7:40 Hedron Archive 9:28 Alchemist's Talent
He's not a good MTG player. Lots of small mistakes like this regardless of what he plays. Ever seen rhystic study? Best to not question gameplay and just enjoy. It's why this is a casual table.
There's also often a lot of politics/discussion going on that we're not hearing, so players could easily be bluffing/bargaining their way out of being hit and players might even be baiting out counter spells or other removal.
That Ygra deck was way too overpowered for this pod. It was basically 3v1 the whole game, and it still won.

I have Ygra built too. As a golgari player. The cat makes the archetype new and fresh
Play OG Glissa and you will never be bored with Golgari ever again

Remove all the vehicles and load it with strong enchantments. Bello becomes a threat quickly.
I run SO MUCH PROTECTION for my racoon buddy. Green is good for that.
@@Blacklodge_Willythis man knows 😂
@@semicolon_cancer1243same. It’s required lol

What is strong is the aristocrats shell he runs in Ygra.

@@FolkenZero There was literally no reason to not attack the Ygra player in this deck.
You guys sound like a lot of fun at parties
Dayum I wanna build Ygra! :)
alright we have some mid power levels, some dungeon action, cool, cool, oh.. nevermind, ygra, just scoop and select an appropriate power lvl deck :)
Kinda unbalanced pod. Some guys playing taplands, ygra playing cabal coffers, sheoldred and tutors…

63337 Cartwright Crossing
u guys perma play with proxies but still use tap lands , i dont get it ?
What proxies?
the Ygra deck went nuts because of the tutor, I think it should play less or no tutors to balance it somewhat
