Prophet Funso Akande is a natural entertainer. I was going to listen to this interview for about 10 minutes, but the man sustained my interest all the way. I will find the man the next time I visit Nigeria. I love him.
This man can effortlessly interview himself and deliver a masterpiece.. he made the whole piece easier with his facts, fun and jokes.. Such a brilliant and intelligent man. Thank you Agbaletu! 👏🏽
This is vintage Funsọ, never a dull moment with him. We were classmates both at Doherty Memorial 1970 and The Polytechnic Ibadan 1977/79. It's refreshing to watch your interview with Agbaletu. The names you tried to remember are Senior Santiago's whose surname is Ogunleye and Chief Arigbede was our local champion Juju band. Prophet conveniently forgot his rascally musical exploit with the Filani brothers, Gbenga Akinboade, Oladele Isaiah alias Miliki and co. Thank God for His Grace on your life and ministry. May God continue to renew your strength.
Funso Akande is an encyclopedia of Nigerian contemporary music... I love his delivery. Of all what he said during the course of this interview, what touches me most was the mention of Amao, a reporter with good old Daily Times. We worked together there briefly before I crossed to National Concord. May his soul continue to find peace with his creator.
This is a very interesting and exciting interview. The man of God is an encyclopedia of knowledge and a humour merchant. I pray that God will give him long life in good health in Jesus name. Thank you, Agbaman for bringing him to this forum.
Uh,this pst Akande is superb, honestly, baba we love you. I also like Dele Abiodun music, especially,"OLORUN MI EMI O MA YIO LOGO,OHUN MONI O,MA FI YIN O LOGO,LARIN OTA EMI O MA YIO LOGO,OHUN MONI O, MA FI YIO LOGO' AND OTHERS.
Thanks so very much Agbaletu, I really enjoyed this interview with Evangelist Pastor Akande , though I'm a Muslim, but all he has said was about life & human lifestyle, May God continue to strengthen Pastor Akande with long healthy life , he's such a Wonderful person , More Anointing Sir
Hello Mr Adeyanju, thank you for your efforts in bringing back memories of our legends. Kindly help get deep information on Queen Oladunni Decency, not so much is known about this great female juju singer since she passed on at a very early stage of her life and career. This will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Interesting, factual and practical A lot are suffering today because they attach every adverse event in their lives to spiritual attacks. There is still a great need for more enlightenment in the African society.
This needs to be a seven part interview. Pastor Akande life experiences can't be summarized. He has lived an interesting life, and I am curious to know more about it. Dele, make an exception of him and ask about his family in a. Follow-up interview, please.
This is best I have ever listened 🎉😂to. The man of God is humble, funny and yet, spiritual. This is the best, not one of the best, but the best I have ever listened to. God bless you sir, may God bless you and your family. May God bless your ministry. It is well with you. Amen.
One of my best songs is "olorun oba, e wa se bi e ti nse nigba wooni,,e wa se bi e ti se,olorun Babalola, olorun Akande lede, e wa se bi e ti nse". May baba Akande baba Abiye l'Ede ,the real annoited woli continue to rest in peace.
This is the best interview I have ever watched. I love the prophet for his sense of sincerity, and ability to speak the truth without mincing words. He really encouraged my faith. God bless you Prophet Akande, and Dele Adeyanju for the great work you are doing. Ever since I stumbled on this channel, It has been a blessing to me. Kudos.

What a delightful interview , full of humour , educative and entertaining from beginning to the end. I can guarantee you that my stress level dropped just from the laughter I got watching this interview . @deleadeyanju, You know every time I watch episode of Agbaletu, it puts smile on my face, the focus should have been on the star/guest being interviewed but he is so good that my focus is on Mr. Adeyanju. I would like to write a piece on his good work. This guy reminds me of Larry King. He is so talented and very intelligent! His mode of interview is so unique and captivating that even the elders being interview cannot hide their surprise of how much knowledge he has of their trade! You can tell he has done extensive work before any interview. The standard of journalism in Nigeria has deteriorated over the years but thank God there is Dele. In the olden days you only listen to the lyrics of these artist but now I know there is a lot into music than just the songs! Thank you Mr. Dele Adeyanju. Please keep up the good work! A lot of people appreciate your efforts including those in Diaspora.
This guy Dele Adeyanju is too much how old is him?he is a genius he knows all the stories of vertically all the musicians both the old ones and the new ones.kudos to you and i doof my cap for you.respect.
Best interview ever!! Go and watch the wife’s interview, it’s very interesting and educative, lots of lesson to learn from it. Well done Dele Adeyanju you’re going places with your programme.
Sir you remain yourself despite you a are pastor. Always funny with good analysis. In the 80s I used to visit you at your house towards ogba and later close to Shina Peter huose. I really like your discussion on ignorance of people without common senses. I hope you can use your position to educate on this. Thank you sir.
The true son of his father! I can relate to most of his claims and I affirm them to be true and factual. God bless the day I had a one -on- one meeting with the late Baba Abiye in his bedroom inside his Ede one storey building. The old man prayed for me and laid his blessed hands on my head. I still carry the blessings to date.
Very lively and interesting interview Prophet Akande's memory is so sharp and he is very factual and real. I think the name of one of the very early musician in Osogbo that he wanted to mention was Sunday Ariyo who used to play at Pax Hotel in Osogbo I was at Osogbo Grammar School too and knew Amao May his soul rest in peace
The best interview ever, I stayed awake to watch this interview around till around 2am, as opposed what I planned. God bless you more Prophet Funsho Akande, God bless you Mr Adeyanju.
Praise the Lord, I am a living withness to Baba Abiye's fervent dedication to the work of God. When I was facing infertility problem in early 80s. I went our beloved Baba Abiye's. before his death I and my husband visited him, the ministers we met in the sitting room tod us Baba came from ori oke not too long and wanted to rest . We were sad because we came from Ibadan. Lo and behold Baba just spoke from the room that Talowanibeyen , he prayed for us and God gave us our glorious children in due course. I bless the Lord for giving me and my family the privilege to receive the blessing of God trough Baba in His life time.. and I count myself lucky for this.

This interview with Prophet Funsho Akande is one of the best and most hilarious from Dele Adeyanju......No doubt, Prophet Funsho Akande's sermon will be very interesting with no dull moments. I was born and grew up in Osogbo and all the musicians Prophet Funsho Akande mentioned were those we grew up to know way back in Osogbo. This interview is nothing, but the best to me....Kudos to Dele Adeyanju the Master interviewer.
Awesome and commendable. Prophet Funsho Akande is a very frankly, talented and has senses of humor coupled with sharp memories. I am sincerely extremely enjoying the conversations with Agbaletu. Kudos
Another question is this, if it is executive stress, how come he sent a message to Baba Abiye to prepare a place for him? How come he was able to transfer the mantle to Baba Abiye? How come he was able to shout in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit? According to history, the wound got healed because Baba Apostle went on retreat to take care of the wound. Apostle Babalola said, if a man of God is sick, he should go on retreat without revealing to the members so that, their faith is not weakened.
Prophet Akande is so humble.I learnt a lot from this program. I have also listened to your wife. My husband and I will come and pay you visit by God's grace.
