Good to see Artoria-chan on the plate carrier once again. 😊 I’ve been pretty curious on the IDOGEAR dummy foam plates, though again, seeing as they’re not multi-curve like actual ballistic plates, I feel like a good hairdryer (not the heat gun) while also bending it could help me a lot. Based on how you compared it, the IDOGEAR dummy plates are pretty *THICCC* and I’m not sure if they may fit into this one locally made plate carrier I’ll be getting someday, but I could do some trimming as well, just to make it more ergonomic and flexible enough to fit into most carriers I like. Just not on the Venum-X Woosatch chest rig (the locally made Filipino copy of the HSGI Woosatch/Weesatch chest rig) since it lacks the mesh slot that’s supposed to make it hold a plate like how the Eagle RRV rig does, which is pretty disappointing but I might have it modded to do just that.
I did some flexing and they seemed to hold the shape ok but a hair dryer is a fantastic idea. I won't lie that Venum-X sounds interesting and I would love to see one. Do they make them in local Philippine patterns?
i loved the fact you mentioned about the weight/rigidity affecting how the vest feels, we found out the same with our Agilite kzero setup. With foam plates the vest felt.. wrong. With team wendy training plates.. everything fell into place. Myself and another have those in our team and with those plats inside it, everyone agreed the vest felt 10 times better. Also.. my jpc had the same issue.. it hated most plates beside the foam ones it came with.
Weight and rigidity is king, in my opinion, but my shoulder hates it, LOL. I haven't used the Team Wendy training plates, but I have used the S&S Precision training plates and did like them, but I feel like they could be a bit heavier.
Thoughts on using Team Wendy plate vs real plates? I have a Shaw Concepts pc and PTS plates feel so wrong it it that I’m debating about buying Highcom multicurve plates or TW ones.
@@Fitz5 if you are doing airsoft, might as well stick to wendy as they are size small got some weight, but dont care if youi drop your PC on the ground after a 4 hour game, or if it jiggles in the back of your car/truck. keep in mind those are for training or airsoft and will offer 0 protection gaints real bullets. Real plates will give you that but face a much higher price, shelve lifes and durability issue.... if its for airsoft... just get team Wendy.
Do you have any regular trauma pads? Looking for something thinner than these Idogear but everywhere I look they’re out of stock or companies just don’t sell them.
Orrrrr do you think running trauma pads with plates is a scam or will they even fit? My experience with the thicker plates is a lot of times they barely fit by themselves thickness wise.
I don't know about trauma pads, but I think plate backers are the way to go, especially if you aren't running level 4 stand-alone plates. The soft armor backers add a little extra protection and comfort.

@@Muddy_Reviews I havent used the S&S, but I can say the Team Wendy are about 5/5.5 pounds per plate.
That is definitely heavier than the S&S...I want some of those Team Wendy's now for my oldest son.

These plates are 10x12 not E-Sapi....i have the same plates put on my JPC 2.0 but I had to trim them too
These aren't sized at 10x12 or at least aren't sized the same as my real 10x12 plates.

These are just fake plates and aren't meant to be padding for plates but as stand ins for them to fill the plates.
Nice.
Glad you liked it 🤙🏼

@@Muddy_Reviews lots of people online are saying they’re gimmicky but everyone that sells them is sold out lol. Gotta stay off the internet lol.
@ROOSTER-ql5fs actual plate pads I think are just added bulk. If you are going to do anything, a Kevlar 3A plate backer is the way to go.
