Thanks again! Don’t know if it is true but from what the dealer said it was owned by an elderly lady who only drove it on sunny days. Would not drive it in the rain. It is considered a small luxury limo and has two mirrored lights in the ceiling in the rear with heated seats. I guess for two lady friends to fix makeup before going out for the day in Rochester, NY. The front has heated and cooled seats and lots of extras! I immediately made an offer during test drive! And have enjoyed it ever since! 😛
Unfortunately the hot glue did not hold the lens to the plate. I am searching for a new light. I may clean up the old one and use Gorilla glue to seal. Then use as backup. Black, chrome and clear are less than $200. Red lens are $250 - $500.
Thank you, but I do not think I would go through it again unless there were no alternative. I don’t know how long a new third light would be available, and how much, but I would seriously consider buying one rather than go through what is in the video again. Good luck with yours.
Thanks! Still can’t believe I found it on a Jeep Chrysler dealer in St. Augustine in 2015 with only 22K miles. Still smelled the leather. In 2021 have 62K mikes and running good! 🤨
Thanks but if I had to do it again I would look around - EBay, internet, junk yards and buy and replace. It was very tedious to do as in the video! Good luck! But check around first!

Maybe Shoe Goo would do the trick? I’ve used that stuff 3 years ago to glue my new Cadillac emblem to the grills, it’s still holding.

what are the Torque values for tightening the nuts to prevent more Cracking ?
I did not set to a torque value. Just tight enough so no movement on trunk. Sorry!
That just happened to me guess what I just ordered a new one and put it on took me 15 minutes to install
Probably the best solution! It was a challenge though to work on the old one. Now I have a backup if I need it.
