2023 Nature Inspiration Award winner, Community Action-Don’t Mess with the Don

Don’t Mess with the Don is the winner of the Canadian Museum of Nature’s 2023 Nature Inspiration Award for Community Action.
This grassroots group is committed to the clean-up and stewardship of Toronto”s Don Valley and the city’s ravines. Since 2018, thousands of dedicated volunteers have removed over a quarter-million pounds of refuse from the area, as well as over 20,000 pounds of invasive plant species. The group also organizes trail recreation programs and special events, such as tree planting.
