  • A "new-to-me" Burg producer that hit my radar around the same time as Skyaasen. Glad it did--there's lots to like here. I think some might find this cuvée a little light-bodied, but I've always had a preference for the lighter-on-their-feet Burgs. Often I find simpler "Bourgogne" examples are a little heavier and even rustic, possibly in the hopes of getting a higher extracted and therefore more perceived body or quality. Is it harder for a producer to be confident about making a simpler wine than one from a Grand Cru? A question for another time, or if you have an opinion or answer, let me know in the comments....
