I'm 6 feet tall, wrestled 122/126 junior year, 134 senior year, cutting down from 155 when i was already in the best shape of my life, had to make weight twice a week for free, no paycheck, never missed weight ONCE in my life, in season or off season matches/tournaments, no excuse.
From Full Send MMA: Some clarification on the Daniel Lacerda and Edgar Chairez weigh in this morning. Daniel Lacerda weighed in at 127 lbs, 1lb over the UFC Flyweight limit. Chairez was informed that Lacerda wasn’t going to make weight and was told to stop cutting and weigh in at whatever he was at, hence weighing in at 131 lbs. He was on his way to making weight but stopped once he was informed his opponent wouldn’t. This is the first I've heard of someone being told to stop cutting weight.
I’m guessing he already drank water or something to making him weigh in more than what he was originally at. Idk why they told him stop cutting but if my opponent didn’t make weight I would stop cutting too. I’ll weigh more then him
Is the fight still on? I'll peak at twitter myself shortly (sorry been looking at PFL vs Bellator stuff too 🔥) but I don't think it surprises me to hear a fighter to stop cutting weight due to their opponent missing/stopped cutting but definitely some missing communication if they're still going to fight, what are they both going to come in at?
@@ThatScythe it looks like its still on! I guess that's an added benefit to your opponent missing weight. I haven't heard of that in recent memory but it seems fair.
One day we’re gonna look back on extreme weight cutting and realize how crazy this sport was, we’ve gotta fix the weight cutting problem, it causes too many problems and it’s stupid to dehydrate yourself right before battle, it’s so fuckn stupid and it’s a huge problem in the sport, we need to fix this in the UFC
Why does MMA Junkie have to be the only ones to *NOT* call it UFC Mexico in the title? Fight Night 237 is for record keeping purposes. It's UFC Mexico, why be confusing? 🤦
2 guys missed weight.. that's just ridiculous..lol May the best man win...This was one of the fastest weighins I've ever seen..why can't they all be like this??.🤣😎💪
UFC is becoming a joke by not holding their athletes more accountable. They’re literally paid to make weight and show up to the fight. They’re not paid to win necessarily. They need more professionalism on this front.
Wow both figthers from the same fight missed weight... Guess I'll be taking 30% of both their purse
Only lacerda missed weight
😂😂
The UFC will gladly keep this change
And they tell Chairez to stop cuting weight

@@NoDangertv VIVA MEXICO Y BRASIL! Lol, I hope for a banger today for MMA tomorrow! Enjoy!
Loser leaves the UFC forever between Chaorez vs Lacerda WWE style.
He was told to stop cutting because his opponent had already missed weight… Not a botch.

Majority of fighters wont want that

There's no weight class above lightweight fighting tomorrow?

How TF at this level do professional fighters miss weight? It's your only job!
Lacerdas fault again
Edgar chairez 131lbs... daniel 127... @@alessandrocarrasco9371
What a dumb thing to say. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often, the way they do it.
Moreno bout to take his shorts off😂😂😂 funny
Is there anyone on this card over 160 lbs?

Man, Ortega looked like he was about to die... and Yair looked fit as a fiddle. Think Ortega is in for a long night if Yair doesn't starch him.

Why put a woman on the front of missing weight and it was a man. 👎🏻
Terrible card
Tomorrow everyone will be watching PFL Bellator in Saudi Arabia!
