Here in the UK they will not sell you a chairlift to fit yourself its H/S gone bonkers , have approach most of the companys and its the same answer sorry we are not allowed etc etc H/S rule s, but i wont give up its saves £300 to D I Y . Good fitting vidio I enjoyed watching.
Loved this video, it was helpful.....BUT the product had 2 defects from the factory that took a 2-3 hour install and made it 4 trips to my mother's house and hours of extra time. They need to get their manufacturing and pre-shipment QA improved. And the helpful salesperson goes dark after the sale.
Hola necesito dos escaleras pues la escalera de la casa es con descanso como puedo saber. El precio de cada una y si las envían a coralesprig florida costo total porfavor
For future reference. Maybe this- After getting everything set, I was unable to make the lift move up or down on the rail, except in override mode. Pressing the up or down button on the armrest produced a long beep, but no motion. An installer informed me that the sensor screw has to be loosened approximately 1/8th turn before the unit will operate. Once I performed this action, everything started working just fine.
Great video! If the stairwell wall is on the same side as the rail, do you have to add additional space between the rail and wall to be able to rotate the chair 90 degrees to step off on the top landing (assuming the chair can rotate)?
The video was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, at the step described beginning at 20:10 the unit we received did not match the video. The bolts mounting the foot rest to the chassis were not the 5/16 Allen bolts but regular 9/16 hex bolts, and I could not get a socket through the holes in the outer mounting plate (the one with the six holes). I had to remove that plate in order to adjust the bolts and level the seat. Fortunately I found a socket that fit the four bolts holding that outer plate in position. The 9/16 bolts on the back side of the chassis seemed to have no connection with the ones on the front.
At 12:12 you show a part to help mount the rail to the stairs. What is this part called? And what is it’s maximum height? Are there riser mounts available to help keep the lift at the proper clearance on stairs in older houses with irregular stairs heights or ones not to current codes?
The video was released in 2021. If you recall, there was this little inconvenience called the COVID pandemic at the time and the few businesses that were operating offices/storefronts typically required their employees to wear masks.
Excellent step-by-step video. The only issue I had was that I hadn't taken into consideration the thickness of my carpet on the steps and had to adjust for it after I had it all put together. It worked great until I sat on it and then when I went up on it, it kept hitting the stairs and shitting down. A little wood strips under the support steps fixed it. Also, I didn't realize there was a hole for the swivel on both sides of the seat, one for left side of stairs and one if going up the right side.
Take your mask off when you’re doing videos like this!😂😂😂
Exactly! I got pissed off as soon I saw this.
@@riffraft2584 I wonder if he wears it while driving alone in his car?
Superclear video and explanation!! However, where does the multimeter comes into place?
Um, I can’t see where you actually put the strips and also which rail do they go in ?

Probably one of the best install guide videos on the Internet. Well done.
the fellow doing this video is excellent .Im mechanically inclined and he covered the steps (no pun intended) completely ; well done !
You did not tell how high above the edge, and how far from the wall.

Apply locktite on the thread of the 5/17 black bolts (5:04)
Very very good job. Thank you
Excellent video. We are rewatching it to reinstall ours after fixing our stairs and removing carpet

That's just too much assembly for an individual to try 😕 😮Does the American Glide company assemble these things in the home????
Followed vedio very carefully but I can override it to make it work but not otherwise
Same here. Did you ever fine a resolution?

How to remove the battery
They never give you the price how much is the thing so I can say yay or nay
If chair is clicking under load, I assume rack has not been tightened enough? New lift installation year ago that has not been used until now.
Is the same carriage used for installation on both sides of the stairs?
Yes, my question also how far from the wall. I have a handrail wondering if I will need to move it?

Shouldn't the tracks be screwed to the stairs?
Why are you wearing a mask
Covid JR

How adjust the chair position turn to the left side?
