I’m just happy when the interviewer is as well informed as the interviewee. This is a terrific interview. Thank you.

Great interview, talking about Switzerland brought me back, I lived in Switzerland from 1996-1997 and had a girlfriend there, it was a romantic time in my life, both our lives actually, the unique thing about her is she is Jewish and there is Avery small percentage of Hews in Switzerland, at that time it was 1% and I was also there during the entire discovery of the Nazi gold situation and what the Swiss government did with the banks regarding that. I have been back twice since to visit my ex-girlfriend, her husband and two children. We have remained friends all these years and Switzerland will always be a special place in my heart. I’m going to read “Ministry For The Future” soon and I’m looking forward to it.

Just finished The Ministry of the Future and found it thoroughly stimulating and hopeful. Look forward to reading more from the author! I believe Aurora will be next. :)

Yeah, me too. 2/3 through MFTF and just wrote down "Aurora" as my next read. Curious what Stan would have to say about Ukraine, AGI (ChatGPT) and CDR into the ocean?

I really appreciated Frank's character. I found his story devastating, and I wish it could have been more front and center in the book. And goddammit, he deserved a better ending. Maybe I will write fanfiction that assigns him a different path.........

The Ministry for the Future is such a good book. Maybe a little optimistic that the human race can survive this bottleneck. Also, I do wonder about the 'dark ops" in the novel--too unlikely? But the rest of the book is fabulous. The first chapter haunts me still. Every time it is cold out, I thank my lucky stars that it still can get cold.

Good interview, but too many mid-sentence interruptions by the interviewer. There's a difference between back and forth conversational interviewing and just abruptly butting in.

That is dark, and true. And its not like violence for a lot of social problem was the push. Its not good but history, even history o progres, just was not pretty at all.

Maybe our real world hope is some kind of temporary- +/- 100 years-- worldwide eco-fascism.

I do think that ecofascism exists.
