My heart breaks for every single unnecessary loss that the people have had inflicted upon them by the CCP. I very much do hope that one day, the people who have suffered so much get the justice against this corruption and tyranny they so greatly deserve.

The one thing you have to remember is that you don’t own your home in China. You effectively have nothing but a long term lease.
There is no private ownership, the government owns all.

In my area, Castle Hill in Sydney. The local government constructed a ring road in the CBD, resulting in significant losses for local businesses during construction. A monstrous apartment building by Middle East developers plagued by corruption and defects. Subsequently, an influx of affluent Chinese individuals purchased houses, driving up real estate prices by paying well above the asking price. Eventually, the local residents were replaced by these new buyers. Sound familiar??

Great summary, David, of China's property tragedy: from the impossibility of ever owning it or enjoying legal rights in defence of it to the outlandishly cynical ponzi scheme it's become during this fragile twilight period for the China Communist autocracy.

I have to mention the hypocrisy of people around the world. Everyone is up in arms and complaining about Palestine and Israel. But nobody ever mentions that the Chinese people have lived under constant attacks and forced evictions for decades under their own government. Everyone complains that Israel has a right to defend its people, everyone complains that the Palestinians have a right to have a state. But nobody for decades showed the same outrage over the way the Chinese people have been treated, not one Muslim nation complains about Uyghur Muslims being treated like animals in China, where's the outrage? Total hypocrisy from the international community.

It is a modern world and the thinking of new generation has to evolve with the times.. Without enough compensation, the only way is to move to rural areas where one can survive on such compensation.
This is a new China that evolves so fast in almost all things that many cannot cope up with.. Let's live and enjoy what we have, for live is just a shadow that struts and frets upon the stage and heard no more... only in a short period of time... ❤❤❤

Generally I like your content, but one thing you, and almost everyone else, leaves out is the role of organized crime in China. We do get glimpses here and there. This needs to be addressed so that we get a better understanding of where China is, and how decisions are made. Otherwise, we are shown the effects, which are interesting, but not the cause. It is the later that is most important to people around the world.
