Interesting experiment. I really hope Digimon doesn't slip into the Yu-Gi-Oh problem where all the consistency cards are high rarity because decks need them to function and thus they crank up sales. I'm not gonna lie, I think Super Rare Rookies are a bad idea. I don't feel like they're supposed to be your set-sellers. I think it's wild when the high end of the non-alt arts in a set is fucking _Tentomon._
@@VortexTCG I mean at least we'll probably never reach Bonfire levels, but I think it's important to keep an eye on things rather than waiting for it to get that bad.
We are now at bt16 and still dont have one single Yugioh Problem Set....for one bonefire you can Play nearly every Deck. And Just look at beelzemon, its now top Tier for 6-7? Sets with neary no Changes (bt17 will give us support, but its cheap)
Love the low rarity challenge! One of my favorite store tournaments was a digimon pauper tournament, everything had to be rare or below (but promos were allowed), and I think another one we were only allowed 1 of each card no repeats.
I think rares are fine in a challenge like this due to all of them being cheap (for the most part). However, if there's a really expensive rare like Monzaemon I wouldn't play that for this challenge.

All the search cards are pretty cheap overall when compared to other card games. I think we're all good 👌

@@StarkMaximum it's definitely important, but I doubt we will ever get to that point, yugioh has such a huge demand while Digimon doesn't.

Red Hybrid is the way, swung for like 3 or more checks with just a Aldamon at over 24000 DP in a game. Top ends, who needs em?
Yeah looking back now I should've gone with RH, but I think I was too fixated on no emperor or aldamon inherit 😅

I did think about that, but I feel like Zudomon ACE & Gomamon SR is pretty good for the deck 😅 Plus there isn't really much search in the deck.
