I woke up this morning and asked the Holy Spirit what do you want me to do today and He said this, " I want you to believe, believe you belong, believe you are accepted, believe that Iam going to save your family, (kicking doubt out )and believe that Iam going to do all these things you are asking of Me. Don't walk in discouragement or disbelief, just believe." I have been walking with the Lord for a long time but when you are walking in disbelief from disappointment or so many let downs you tend to walk in a state of disbelief. I was praying and asking God where am I in my walk and He gave me a dream and showed me. He gave 2 scripture passages psalm 38:4-5 psalm 34:8-9 In the midst of all the mayhem, We can taste and see that the LORD is good! He will never let you down! Stay in the process!

I definitely understand what you’re saying. When I sing this, I think of his eternal promises. I know that despite suffering in the present, He’s working it out for our good and ultimately if we trust Him, He won’t let us down. ♥️ love your point. It’s so easy to think God has forgotten us sometimes. But you’re right, we must embrace suffering! Romans 5 tells us suffering produces endurance that produces character that produces hope! It’s one of my favorite passages.
