Excellent episode! Hearing this conversation gave me a jolt in the arm to get back to an MTP project that needs a champion. It also cranked up the voltage on how I view some current projects that could become transformative by thinking much bigger. On a more hesitant note, these exponential forces raise concerns about the reliability, accuracy, and validity of data being ingested into algorithmic models increasingly reshaping reality. We also have finite capacity to track and discern both human and technological risks of socially-open, algorithmically accelerated systems. Back in the 2016 book “Overcomplicated,” Samuel Arbesman outlines many examples where we’ve lost the ability to completely understand our human systems end-to-end. While growth in complexity and interdependence are accelerating, the stakes and potential impact are rising. I am very much a tech optimist, but we need a counterweight of sober and rigorous oversight, security and governance. Awesome job as always! “See you at Tech Week”
Within our community we have people that are watching over 120 exponential technologies in a number of different fields. Those that are still in early stages in Biotechnology and Material science right through to AI, Robotics, etc. 😊
Thankfully someone smarter me had to call this. Everyone is losing their mind that we're going to lose a lot of jobs to ai, not thinking of all the jobs and opportunities ai will bring. Am glad they touched on that.

Glad to educate.

Love the framework, very insightful and putting a framework on something we've been doing for years.

What exponential trend are you watching? 👀

Data alliances. The business need will become more apparent as more comprehensive and sophisticated data laws are rolled out across the world.
