For those of you who haven’t listened to distractible (in which case what are you doing), Mark said he actually beat the game off camera and enjoyed it
I can see why this game is hard enough playing on your own time but imagine making content on it now your not only concerned with beating a boss but now you’re worried about making it look good for your audience that’s just more of a challenge then the game already is
I feel like people keep forgetting how straight up stubborn Mark can be. We're talking about the man who saw every impossible FNAF mode and wasted DAYS on beating each one.
If the countless hours on Welcome to the Game 2 are go by, Mark is seriously stubborn when he sets his sights on something and he only gave up after a total of like 60 hours
In all honesty, this video represents the true spirit of Miyazaki's games. Ignoring your failures (or just laughing them off in a British accent), practicing a boss until you learn their moves, getting better and better over time, and ultimately winning. People will say this game is too hard, but here's Mark beating an early game troll boss (because you don't have your horse yet and this fight is trivial on horseback) with an unleveled character using unupgraded starting gear. And his reward (besides the satisfaction) is a weapon he doesn't have the stats to use 😂
This game is all timing rolls and making a good build based on how you want to play, had it for four days and I have two characters above lvl 70 lmfao, I’m loving elden ring!
Yet I love Mark I've been watching his stuff for years now but as a HUGE souls game fan the fact he only played up to beating the Tree Sentinel and he only did it for clout I'm sorry but that was a d**** thing to do and he literally represented people that only played Elden Ring cuz the hype,clout, views,etc. Some will argue it's not a big deal the game got alot of recognition,etc it did.... But if you're just playing a souls game for clout,etc then just admit you don't like souls games nuff said cuz I can bet those that don't even like souls games never went back to it after the 2nd or even 3rd playthrough after beating it the first time. There'll never be a full playthrough of ED, because just like with the warframe video he did, twas only for paid sponsor. Elden ring was my first fromsoftware game. And I also brute forced tree sentinel. I don’t know how many deaths, but I do know it took 5 hours of straight trying till I beat him. The fact mark did it in 1 is impressive.

Well I watched the first 10 minutes and then when I saw how it was going to go I skipped to the last 5 minutes and that was a lot more manageable for me.
I remember watching you back when I was a young teen, especially during my first panick attacks and psychotic break. You were the one person that could calm me down and actually help me get a grip back to reality. That was so long ago, back when your channel name was still MarkiplierGAME. The years have gone by, you've helped me through so much. Here I am again tonight. Engaged now and with a daughter. I still have panick attacks and just had a severe one that lasted an hour. Mark is quite the player. Literally never gets mad, stays focused and even starts taunting the boss at the end, 1 hp left and still keeps his cool before having fun after beating the boss to make random noises. God it was funny af.

You mean the panicle from soft experience. I am doing a run through of the game with sword and wand, no shield, so I have to dodge everything. I have been having so much fun, especially since every other game I played it as a strength tank. Now I have to be able to dodge everything, and it makes it so much more of a challenge. And I love it.
I just never use a shield because my instinct is to dodge the attack. I used to parry a decent amount in other FromSoft games, but attacking and dodging is so much easier for me that I just two hand my weapons instead.

@@austinwil5616 not quite sure where you are in the world as I have been exploring everything but the north, north east, in the game. as for your weapon choices, you do you, you are covering a close up and longer range combat area at the same time, you will learn how to fat roll your way around their attacks and you will get better and find new and better weapons for you to you should you wish to use them. you are the one telling the story, there is no wrong way to do it.

Theres a reason why mark is currently there where his standing today. His determination to defeat a boss with the lowest possible gear without losing his mental health is astonishingly amazing. Wade was right 😅
@@GreenLycan I would consider it a proper "world boss." Especially considering the point in the game at which you first encounter him. The actual mini-bosses are much easier, for instance: Stonedigger Troll, Beastman of Farum Azula, and Erdtree Burial Watchdog. Those are all easy mini-bosses. Compared to those, Tree Sentinel is a proper boss.
Imagine if Elden Ring has a nemesis system like Shadow of Mordor/War where enemies lvl up each time they killed you. Mark will be fighting a lvl 999+ Tree Sentinel by the end of the stream lol.

I found a good way to describe elden ring: You know your about to try something very hard. You think your going to throw yourself at a brick wall for a little while over and over again but you believe you can beat said brick wall. Exept when you fight it the brick wall has a machine gun and can fly. And if you somehow get the brick wall down to half health it turns into pure steel and pulls out a nuke.
I’m honestly impressed, it took me 5 days to beat the tree sentinel and mark beat the man in 1 hour. I hope he plays the rest of the game it’s really fun.
I dunno why people are saying it was painful to watch, I thought it was a joy seeing him start as a complete beginner and slowly building up knowledge and skill until he actually took the enemy down. I was straight up applauding Mark's win!
I'm so sad Jack and Mark won't do a full series on this game; it looks gorgeous and amazing but it's the kind of game I can't play myself because of the difficulty. I might end up checking Vaati channel if he does a complete playthrough, otherwise I'll have to forfeit the idea of seeing the entirety of the game.

You mean the panicle from soft experience. I am doing a run through of the game with sword and wand, no shield, so I have to dodge everything. I have been having so much fun, especially since every other game I played it as a strength tank. Now I have to be able to dodge everything, and it makes it so much more of a challenge. And I love it.
I just never use a shield because my instinct is to dodge the attack. I used to parry a decent amount in other FromSoft games, but attacking and dodging is so much easier for me that I just two hand my weapons instead.

@@austinwil5616 not quite sure where you are in the world as I have been exploring everything but the north, north east, in the game. as for your weapon choices, you do you, you are covering a close up and longer range combat area at the same time, you will learn how to fat roll your way around their attacks and you will get better and find new and better weapons for you to you should you wish to use them. you are the one telling the story, there is no wrong way to do it.

The actual mini-bosses are much easier, for instance: Stonedigger Troll, Beastman of Farum Azula, and Erdtree Burial Watchdog. Those are all easy mini-bosses. Compared to those, Tree Sentinel is a proper boss.

I found a good way to describe elden ring: You know your about to try something very hard. You think your going to throw yourself at a brick wall for a little while over and over again but you believe you can beat said brick wall. Exept when you fight it the brick wall has a machine gun and can fly. And if you somehow get the brick wall down to half health it turns into pure steel and pulls out a nuke.

I’m honestly impressed, it took me 5 days to beat the tree sentinel and mark beat the man in 1 hour. I hope he plays the rest of the game it’s really fun.
I dunno why people are saying it was painful to watch, I thought it was a joy seeing him start as a complete beginner and slowly building up knowledge and skill until he actually took the enemy down. I was straight up applauding Mark's win!

The game isn't really that hard there are several things that make it very easy like spirit ash summons or over powered weapons like bloodhounds fang and nagakiba
Imagine how the horseman feels throughout each fight hearing mark monologue to himself while the boss kills him then returns to fight again.
I would love a short were mark is approching the knight saying "Hey you bitch! I'm going to kill you!" and the Knight just looks on in disgust saying "uggghhhh....not this guy again..."
