The Fantastic Four: First Steps is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Fantastic Four. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the 37th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the second reboot of the Fantastic Four film series. The film is being directed by Matt Shakman from a screenplay by the writing team of Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Squires, Eric Pearson, and Peter Cameron. It features an ensemble cast including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the titular team, alongside Julia Garner and Ralph Ineson.
20th Century Fox began work on a new Fantastic Four film after the failure of Fantastic Four in 2015. After the studio was acquired by Disney in March 2019, control of the franchise was transferred to Marvel Studios, and a new film was announced that July. Jon Watts was set as director in December 2020, but stepped down in April 2022. Shakman replaced him that September when Kaplan and Springer were working on the script. Casting was underway by early 2023, and Friedman joined to rewrite the script by that March, with Squires and Cameron also writing. Marvel Studios wanted to tell a new story with the characters rather than retell their origin story. Pearson joined to polish the script by mid-February 2024, when the main cast was announced, and additional casting took place in the following months. Filming began in late July 2024 at Pinewood Studios in London.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 25, 2025, as the first film of Phase Six of the MCU.

After their "Galactus" appearance in Rise. To be honest I'm excited but i hope this doesn't let me down; I'm a long time fan and would love to see this done right.
In the leaked footage it shows that the fantastic 4 team is going to the moon I think they will meet Galactus in space and somehow get stuck in a time loop which will bring them into the current mcu timeline

Doctor Doom, as epic as he is, should be the main antagonist of the Fantastic Four "sub-saga", not of an entire MCU saga. I know that Galactus also is an important enemy for the latters, but Doom is their archenemy.

I hope that it won't really be set in the 1960s. Captain America is one thing, but this is about the Fantastic Four. I would prefer a modern setting. Like all current 'MCU' movies, after all.
This film is set during their world's 60's, a retro future world that is NOT the 616 universe. At the end, they will enter the main 616 universe and likely be stuck there, joining the MCU proper and be part of Doomsday and Secret Wars.
It is a F4 from another universe where humanity is a lot more advance that by the 60s they seem futuristic.
They're probably advance because religion didn't hold back humanity

No Pascal does not look great. He looks like Pascal, not Reed Richards. All they had to do was get Richards right, but they decided they wanted to screw up the FF... again.
Honestly for me all that matters is if the acting is good like if he plays a convincing portrayal of the character like appearances aren’t everything we’ve seen a ton of actors especially in superhero movies that look nothing like the source material like look at actors like Hugh Jackman who barely even looks like Wolverine outside of the hair or a dc character the 2022 Batman movie with Robert Pattinson who barely looks anything like Bruce from the comics but he pulls it off I am still skeptical as based on what I’ve seen Pedro pascal really doesn’t have fantastic range but I wouldn’t call it terrible just yet

The actors they need to make it a success are as follow-Reed Richards by John Strazynski, Sue Storm by Charlize Theron, Jonny Storm by Glen Powell and Ben Grimm by Andrew Dice Clay. The Silver Surfer played by Keanu Reeves and Galactus played by...wait for it...Mel Gibson.(the man some people like to hate)...and directed by James Cameron!!(although highly unlikely)!!...or a director as successful! As for supporting characters- Mike Colter as T'Challa, the Black Panther, Mark Strong as Dr. Doom and Dwayne Jonson as Namor, the Sub-Mariner, Prince of Atlantis.

Its really backwards and dumb that dr doom is the avengers villain and galactus is the FF4. They need to put some goddamn respect on ol’ galan.
Pretty sure he won’t be the main villain- doom has a mega story that’s coming in secret wars. If they remotely follow the comics he is a key part of that story.
