Lady brook flood, Bramall Hall, Bramhall Park, Stockport

11 June 2016, following a couple of days of heavy rain, the Lady brook flooded in Happy Valley, Stockport, and when the Carr brook fed in to the Lady brook in the middle of the Park at Bramall Hall, the park was overwhelmed with flood water.

It really is amazing what putting a road in the wrong place can do to a delicately balanced ecosystem. Have to think twice about putting it across the direction of run-off fom the peaks.
