  • Today we ride the Flam Railway in Norway- voted the Most Beautiful Train Journey in the World!! We bought tickets from Flam to Myrdal- we were lucky that there was still space as the Flamsbana railway is one of Norway's biggest attractions!
For more information about our trip on the Flamsbana railway from Flam to Myrdal, visit our website: wandering-bird...

Riding the Flam railway (pronounced Flom!) was a spur of the moment decision and we were pleased to be able to get tickets for the Flam railway straight away- all the way up to Myrdal! Often, this line is so busy that you have to wait a few hours for the next available space. Lucky us!
The Flam to Myrdal line is very pretty- although I'm not sure I'd call it the most beautiful train journey in the world! Especially when it's raining like it sadly was for us. Still, we recommend the train journey to anyone on a cruise or a short visit to Norway, as it's a wonderful way to see the Norwegian mountains and the village of Myrdal.
It also gives you a chance to visit Kjosfossen waterfall, the waterfall on the flamsbana railway. This waterfall actually powers the Flam-Myrdal line, which is cool. There's also a crazy dancing hundra girl who tries to lure you into the mountain- to your DOOM! :) The singing by the waterfall is pretty.
If you visit my website wandering-bird..., there's a link where you can book tickets for the Flam railway in advance, so you don't need to worry about waiting for hours!!
I hope you enjoy the video. If you'd like to follow our Wandering Bird Adventures, subscribe and turn on your notifications.
    Thanks for watching xx

We are cruising to Norway in two weeks and wondered on doing the railway, we decided not too so interesting to hear your thoughts. We hope you get your fresh water soon!

We found some water- yay! 🙂👍If you're cruising the mountains and waterfall is pretty and you may not see anything else similar on your trip. You might find our video on the waterfall you can walk behind interesting- we much preferred that one!!

Absolutely beautiful place. 😍 It's just a shame that your experience was soured a little by the prices and the attitude of one individual 😒. Apart from that, you seem to be having a wonderful time in Norway. May I also congratulate you on your 2K subscribers 😍🎁👍 Onwards and upwards 💖

Thank you Hannah- that's so lovely of you. Perhaps he was just having a bad day! Or maybe we'd become so used to happiness and friendliness it shocked us more than it should have!!!

The women in red dancing was very bizarre or maybe it’s just my British reserve🤣 I love off the wall things like that though. I noticed that you had your iPad mounted on your windscreen. When we went to a campsite in the camargue, Provence, France we were advised by a member of staff there that the French police fine you for doing this and that it’s a hefty fine. Just thought I would mention it just in case you are in France. I haven’t checked it though but he assured me it was a police officer who caught him but let him off on that occasion, luckily for him. 😳

Interesting. We don't have it mounted on the windscreen, it's mounted on the dashboard and doesn't obstruct the drivers view. We have heard of police in UK as well cracking down on sat navs mounted on the windscreen, which is why ours isn't. Thanks for the tip though!

Wandering Bird Adventures When I had my motorhome MOT’d last year, 1 of the long list of failures was my phone bracket on the windscreen. It didn’t in any way obstruct my view.
