    Nice and very usefull video, thank you for sharing. I have a problem on my speedmaster reduced that uses the same cal., after some days of not wearing it I winded it up and it started to run normally, then I pulled out the crown to set the time but it was much harder than normaly and I had to use more force than usually to pull the crown in seting position. After seting the time I pushed in the crown but then the watch stoped runing and dit not start again. I opened the watch and noticed that the balance wheel was kind of blocked and could not be moved by hand. I removed the crown with winding stem by pushing in the tiny "button" and when it was out the balance wheel started to move again and the watch started runing. Then I put in the crown and stem again but now it does not hold in place, so when I want tu pull the crown to seting position it just falls out completely😢 Maybe you have an idea what could be the problem? Thanks in advance.
    Best regards

      I think, without seeing, the hacking leaver is misplaced, and that is how the balace runs and does not run without making any sense. Also, the setting leaver or its spring is misplaced too, that is how you have a problem with the crown.

      @@magicofwheels Thank you for your reply. Im not sure if I should try to fix it myself, Im an absolute beginner in watchmaking. Maybe I will let it rest for some time until I have more experience.

      it's quite complex because of 6 hands and the second chronograph hand is very stiff and fixed so tight. Many breaks the stem.

      @@magicofwheels Ok better I let a professional watchmaker fix it. Would you recomend an undependent watchmaker in this case or giving it to omega? They told me that it would be a total revision and costs 1100$, the watch cost me 2250$ (both paid in €).

    Hi bro, thx 4 the good work, how often should I service my vintage Rolex 16013? Thank you.

    • @magicofwheels
      @magicofwheels  Год назад +2

      With new inovation of lubrication, it could take from 7 to 10 years. However, I would say 7 because at least you can check the gasket.

    Great video. In your opinion, do you think the tach feature can be run 24/7 without additional wear on the movement?

    • @magicofwheels
      @magicofwheels  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for your comment.
      IMO, those chronograph models use regular movement, just like speedmaster reduced uses eta 2890, as a base tends to wear out the parts in the movement more easily than that of design for chronograph as a single unit movement such as 7750.
      If you imagine chronograph as an add on complication to the movement which design for time telling only uses the same amount of force to drive 6 hands instead of 3......if you use the frature 24/7...parts will wear out quicker.
      hope that makes sense to you.

    Servicing a modular chronograph movement is more complex than a integrated chronograph like valjoux 7750? I already have a Speedmaster date and thinking about buying a reduced.

    • @magicofwheels
      @magicofwheels  Год назад +1

      To me, both are equally complex. Fortunately, I am having 7750 coming up. That shall give you some idea.
