so comprehensive and articulately composed. Kyrie talks like an intellectual, with proper grammar, and a good vibe. his own look... his own person... just a refreshing voice for the NBA, when so many players are hard to listen to
He went to private schools in elementary and high school, then went to Duke University, another academically prestigious school, played under coach K. Does this explain why he's very eloquent?
He has always been an articulate person. What really impressed me in this video are how he sees himself as a cog in the machine rather than being the team or being at least one half of the team, and how he exuded kindness by showing consideration as opposed to always punctuating his comment with force/authority. The basketball world have a lot to gain if he has finally found peace because he has always been a generational talent.
Kyrie is one of the best prepared and most cerebral players in the history of this sport I love so much. His place in the Hall of Fame to me is a forgone conclusion. I admire him as a man and just want to see him hoist that trophy several more times before his playing days are done and be happy I got to witness it.
I never followed Kyrie closely and had a vague idea that he was difficult or unlikeable. In fact, he is very likable. He is smart, insightful and professional. I never miss one of his post game interviews because I learn so much. How did he get a questionable rep? He is the real deal. He manages his relationship with Luka perfectly.
It all started after a post game interview where a female reporter asked Kyrie “does Lebron play a parental role/father like figure in his career” when she asked he thought she was joking but no she was serious, ever since then the media black balls Kyrie at every turn.
His teammates love him. So there is a message coming from somewhere else that is BS. I think he’s ahead of his time and the rest of the league is slowly catching up.
he's got Luka's back. With Kai on the field, Luka can rest on some attacks and still score 25 35 points but without the team loosing points on off as Kai scores them. So its a double win.
Kai just demands respect. If you disrepect him, he gonna do that back to you 10x. Judge him all you want but if you treat the man with dignity, you gonna thrive and that's what the Mavs organization is doing from top down. You can tell Kai found his center there. Good on him.
