I found a beautiful pink hydrangea at a flower shop and bought it.
She handed it to me with the words, Enjoy!
I couldn't help but feel the florist's love for flowers in that one word.🤭
It was a very happy way to go home.🍀

We call that shellfish whelk here. The ones we call mussels are bivalves like clams in a dark shell. Both are delicious! Thank you for sharing the hydrangea tip. it would have never occurred to me to remove the cotton!
Thank you! I knew someone would have the answer I was looking for. I love seafood but I've never had Whelk before unless maybe when I was in Hawaii and didn't know what I was eating. I'll go the the Asian market and see if they have them. ❤
Thank you! When I saw them my first thought was snails but then she called them mussels. They didn’t look like any mussels I’d ever seen so I wondered if it was a mistranslation. I just looked up whelk and sure enough that’s them, “carnivorous sea snails.”
And the mussels are great with a homemade garlic saus.
So relaxing and beautiful. Your talent with food is amazing. All the attention to tiny details is soothing to watch. When stressed this is a great place to unwind.
Seeing blue hydrangeas reminds me of my grandparents they had them growing up outside their house. Thanks for sharing your weekend once again 😊

I’ll have to try that hydrangea trick next time. I just soak them flowers and all under cold water in the sink for a couple of hours once they start to droop. I can keep them going for a long time that way.

My grandma grew hydrangeas too, then my mom now it’s my turn up at my new house on the Oregon Coast. I’m excited! I cut my melons up like this and store in a big Tupperware in the fridge. It so easy to eat this way and convenient too. ❤

it's also very hot and humid in NYC. All big cities are very similar in regards to weather. I love how Japan have so many cooling items made to combat the heat.

I loved the video, it was very elegant, simple and calming. It relaxes me when I watch your videos. I could not miss the fact that for a hot summer evening the clothes you wear are quite warm. I don't know if it is a usual thing in Tokyo to have AC or not, but where I am from only few people have AC in their homes (especially newer apartments and houses). We just went through a heat wave and temperatures indoors are around 31Celsius. So seeing those clothes I instantly felt hotter :)))

Do you know you can dry hydrangeas? Just hang them up in a dry place upside down. A dark place is also preferable but not essential 😁🌸

Thank you Nami for another wonderful video, the embroidery also gave me nostalgia and the colors look good enough to eat 😊 For the pastry, it could be helpful to when it’s hot to keep the pastry as cold as possible before baking. You might try refrigerating the other pieces while you shape one piece, and then pop them all the in the freezer for a few minutes before going into the oven. This can help them keep their shape and stop the butter from coming out when it bakes.❤
