    What about all the taxes have been paid, for previous years. Such as became 100 % service connection in 2013, yet didn't purchase a home till 2015 in which the home was $385,000 VA LOAN @3.5 % an those taxes were $5200 a year compounded inside my mortgage! So the loan amount was $370,000 as we wanted lower payments so we decided to put down $15,000 to get that mortgage amount to $1561 monthly then had those property taxes an home owners insurance compounded, bringing that note to $2167.00 now at $2254 due to these ever increasing taxes yesrly creeping, as for 2022 our tax were $5700 an steady creeping up! So my question is the property tax folks in Los Angeles told use they will recalculate back to the year purchased plus use that effective date of becoming 100% SC, an refund us that overage back, yet im hearing you state, here as well, soon as those property tax, folks takes our Applications for Service Connection 100% Disable an its effective date, they will send us a letter, to send to Our Mortgage Company, an then they will readjust our loan, from that point on, who refunds us our overage the Mortgage company or the Tax folks???

    This is ridiculous. A savings of 150 a month smh. Barely anything when you compare the savings to a state like Texas that gives 100% exception from property Texas

    • @mcfuggin.1620
      @mcfuggin.1620 3 года назад +4

      yeah, CA is ridiculous when it comes to vets and housing cost. The fact that Ca homes are way way way over priced, they put things like this into account when you apply and just add costs to the house. 1 thing a real estate agent is Ca wont do is lose a dime. Notice everything is based of low income level, that's where they want you to stay.

    • @joseochoa7043
      @joseochoa7043 2 года назад +2

      I thinks it’s because of the sheer amount of vets who live in CA already while CA being way over priced. Can you imagine if CA granted a complete property tax exemption? You should move to either TX or NM where you can get a complete property tax waiver

This is impacting my efforts to get a Home Improvement Loan as my property tax records still show $128,000.00 even thought my records also show my tax exemptions that should be zero. No, it means if your home is valued at $300,00 that you only pay property tax on $157,000
