- Sunday grocery shopping and lunch in the Philippines province is always fun for me. Happy, friendly people everywhere with unlimited healthy, local grown fruit and veggies. We prefer purchasing our fruit, veggies & meat from small local family’s vs large grocery chains. So, food shopping in the Philippines Province is perfect for us.

You what i like abt this video is your sincerity. I know a few balikbayans or US Filipinos who visited their homecountry complain abt the heat and the convinieces they enjoyed in the US n at times try to impress the locals with their english (just facts)🙄😁. You, you just enjoy the weather, respect the locals and even try to speak their language.
Thank you! I’m truly happy and blessed to be here in this environment.
Love the healthy province lifestyle vs shopping in a large chain grocery store. Help the little local companies! Great video thank you
Thank you friend
Looks so relaxing peacefull simple life, more power to you Bro and GodBless!
Thank you!
I will never get tired in a place like that, a piece of mind, man you're lucky to be there
I truly do love it and it’s so easy to be stress free
I miss those farmers markets back home! Where everybody knows who you are!
thank you for your nice video tour of the Talaptap farmers market at Bindoy, on Negros, for it reminds me of the old Carcar market on Cebu, where my late wife family lives. Carcar now has a new public market next to the new Carcar government complex, but I have not been to the new Carcar market, for it was not completed yet during my last visit in 2019. My last visit to Carcar with my late wife was in May 2019, and then covid happened in 2020, which cancelled out planned trip to Carcer in March. Then my late wife got sick in April, and passed away in June 2020, from multiple long standing heath issues. My late wife and i were married for 40 years and 5 months, and we built a small house in Southern Illinois, 2 miles from my family's farm and raised hay and a few head of cattle, and worked at an auto parts factory. In 2000-2002 we built a 2 story house in Carcar, Cebu, and we visited Carcar and her family every year until our last trip in 2019. We had planned to retire to Carcar, after i retired from my work in May 2020, but the "best laid plans of mice and men often go astray", so all i can do now is "do what i can, with what i have, where i am". However, now I no longer have the desire to retire to Carcar, without my late wife to share my retirement with, but i would still like to visit Carcar in the future. My late filipina wife and i were the same age of 25 when we were married on Molokai in 1979. My late wife's family, her daughter, from a previous marriage, and 8 grandchildren live in the house that we, mostly her, built. Someday, i hope to visit Carcar and my late wife's family again, after all of the covid restrictions or covid requirements have been lifted, for i do not want too much hassle and stress when i travel to Carcar. Anyway, i have enjoyed your videos and your opinions concerning the Philippine culture, life style and people. I have learned that when in the Philippines, we foreigners should respect their way of living, and do as the Filipino people do, with a smile on our faces, except for eating balut, of course, hehehe. In addition, i and my late wife and her family once drove from Carcar, Cebu to Dumaguette, Negros, with our 2004 toyota van, and we rode the Bato-Tampi ferry from Cebu to Negros, then took the ferry from Dumaguette to Siquijor, then the ferry from Siquijor to Cebu City. There are so many nice places to visit in the Philippines, but my late wife's hometown of Carcar and the surrounding areas are still my favorite, for that is where my late wife's family and our house are located, and where i feel "AT HOME". Oooops, sorry for my too long comment. Amping (*_*)
No need to be sorry and I read all of it. Sorry to hear about your wife and try to keep yourself busy. We tend to get in trouble when we have to much freedom. Hope you visit at some point and let me know if you are ever in Dumaguete.
It's good to see you're settling in quite nicely. You have a very positive attitude towards the country, it's people and their customs.
Now this looks like a relaxing life! I've noticed the same thing about locals being happy to see "outsiders" learn their language. You can see their eyes fill up with joy 👍.
They always smile when I do it!
The meal and market looks really good. Simple and beautiful life. Love it😄
This life is for me. I hate large grocery stores and love fresh food markets
It's true, if u know even some local dialects will go along way .simple provincial folks will reciprocate ur sense of diplomacy
The dog is always just laying there 🤣
She's not the smartest dog but she's a good little buddy!
@@ItsMe_Philippines taking it easy sounds smart to me!
The province a great place. I enjoy living and shopping there, life is stress free.
It’s great and I love it also.
GOD BLESS" GOOD FOR YOU..thats good thing being a pilipino..always had time to smile ang helfull to needy.
Thank you!
You're living a easy & relaxing life style. You're blessed. It looks like they like you over there.
I try to fit in an act and dress simple. I’m not going to drive an extravagant luxury vehicle or act like I’m better than anyone. Your bank account has nothing to do with who you are as a person.
Big respect to you Sir with the way you support local communities
Thank you
A good person by supporting the family businesses in the provinces. The food looks yummy. Thanks for sharing...🎥😃👍👌👊🙏
Thank you for watching
It is awesome to see you speak the Tagalog that you have learned and to see you being respectful and honoring the Filipino culture and traditions, salamat Corey.
I am a guest in their country, so I think respect is extremely important. Thank you for the comment!
@@ItsMe_Philippines I agree, but not everyone is respectful, understands what you are doing and saying. God bless you 🙏
Another great video that is what I want to experience !!!
You should! and thank you!
Watching yourvlog from Califirnia
Thank you! Cali is to expensive for me my friend. Great place to visit but the cost of living 😳
Have a blessed day ❤️ Godbless 💞
Thank you and the same to you
correct everything is getting up and up , now a days be wise , what makes you cheaper why not .
Province life looks amazing. Really enjoying your videos. Doing some soul searching of my own.
I’ve been there my friend and keep your head up. Try to take a trip over and experience this life if you can. Appreciate the good comment
The charities here actually sell over stock textiles to be resold in the Philippines by the tonnes...its a long time running business. It isnt being donated there, it's being sold to he resold.
ITS fun in the Market enjoyed watching.
Love the markets here 😊
Weather is looking good there! Wow
It always looks good here to me. Even when it’s raining it still makes me smile.
Your so adapted to the pilipino culture
Enjoy new life in the Philippines
Yes pls help the locals, i do too when i go back home
I always do! For me this lifestyle is perfect. Back in the states when I went to a grocery store I wouldn’t go in the isles. People would think that was funny but all the fresh fruit is around the walls. Fruit, vegetable, fish, meat and then lastly your dairy products. So I enjoy buying from small family owned businesses.
Province life is way better that the City, even Dumaguete its crowded , also its more laidback.
If I’m going to hang out in any city that is one that I like. But it is too crowded and too much traffic for me to want to live there.
Nice...your getting along with the locals!👍🇵🇭🇧🇭
Yes I am!
kalamarasi hahahahahahaha 🤣✌️
I tried 😂
My wife is from Pasig, and while the language is similar and I also love speaking in Tagalog. The people appreciate it when you show them that you care.
Like I've texting in another video, I miss the place, those roads LOL with the chickens in the background and the motorbikes, I cannot hear chickens or motorbikes anymore without thinking about the Philippines
Wow I’m amazed that u can speak bisaya 😀. It’s nice to hear u speaking our dialect.
I’m in your country so it’s the right thing to do. Wouldn’t move here trying to change the culture or the people. It’s me, that needs to adjust to where I am 🙂
@@ItsMe_Philippines Very good attitude.
Fantastic video. Thank you Sir.
No need to thank me. Thank you for watching. I enjoy living here. I’m showing it to other people.
Thanks for sharing your lives! Inspiring bro. I’m subscribing.
Thanks for the sub!
I miss my hometown Bindoy, I lived the same municipality with your wife rachel but just diffrent village. Thank you for this video and featuring my friend's carenderia.
Hello dai.. thank you for watching and your very welcome!🥰
It’s one of my favorite places to shop! Everyone around here is peaceful and nice 😊
I loved it when it rained because I would be cooler in the rain... when it stopped I would be dry in just a few minutes.
I walk in the house to get an umbrella and by the time I get back outside it stops lol
Good video as usual. I prefer the province as well and I agree with helping the locals vs the big chains. My Wife just arrived last night in Manila. Her Dad and Sister met her at the airport and in a few days they will fly to Tacloban. I leave July 11th and we'll come back here to the states Aug 5th. Good to hear you speaking some phrases. My Wife is from a small area of Waray speakers. She always asks if I want to know the Tagalog or Waray words. I always choose Tagalog as that's the most common language to communicate and Waray seems a lot more complicated to me. Have fun!!
Smart man and enjoy your trip! You can use Tagalog basically everywhere here so that would be better for you. It’s good we show respect and learn the basics.
My wife’s family live in Tunga . They all speak Waray.
@@brianadamson6607 Wow! I just checked google maps and Tunga is only 44 miles from where my Wife & her family are from in Luneta. We recently bought 5 hectares in Luneta also.
@@gordonb1737 that’s a large parcel of land . We just bought 1000sqm. In Bataan
@@brianadamson6607 It is quite a bit. We got a good deal on it and planning to buy 2 more hectares from the same owner. There are a lot of coconuts on the land that my Wifes family are harvesting. I'm hoping that will help us out with the bills once I do retire
with that positive attitude, you can live anywhere & get along with everyone man ..... but being in the philippines who's known to having very friendly people then it'll be more helpful ...... I've noticed you're so simple too,not a picky eater, don't whine on little things & always polite to the locals which is great ...... ok, have fun man !!!!!!!!!
Thank you and you too!
Wow d market is crowded lively bro👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Very friendly and happy environment
Great video.
Thank you 😊
Simple provincial life . Less stress. Excellent 👍👍
Same in Madagascar. I was told that the clothing comes in bales... and sold that way and then end up in the markets.
👍👍👍
Very Nice Cory...
Thank you, always appreciate your positive comments
I'm an American, married to a Filipino. We have two daughters together. Living on the east coast of the US. I have visited the Philippines a half a dozen times so far.
We have purchased land on Mindanao and plan to move there in about a year. I do appreciate watching your videos. They have been very insightful. I have had several ideas for building there and a few of your videos have helped me tremendously. Thank you and keep up the good work. P.S. we have a family vlog on RUclips. The Cagle family. If your interested.
Thank you and I'll check it out!
Just found your channel, very cool and very interesting looks like a great place that calms and heals your soul mind and body. Very awesome 👍
Thank you!
So true about respect it takes nothing to be nice ❤
This is awesome! Living simple!😊
Simple Philippines life style makes us happy 😃
I'm bisaya so good to hear you talking bisaya language ahhahaha tagalog, bisay, English and you have 3language now yeheeyyy.
I only know a few words Tagalog they can be respectful of the airport. Luckily for me Salamat is the same lol
Thank you for supporting the locals watching here from Chicago
Thank you for watching and it's my pleasure
Such a great place to live. Thanks for the video.
That’s for watching brother
Everyday more and more I'm falling in love with the Philippines. Definitely I like the lifestyle tranquility especially the people The Culture is a plus. I'm loving it.
It’s an amazing country
👍😎🇵🇭🌴Good one!
Thank you
Dude, you did the "mano" hand-to- head to forehead to the elders ( classic sign of respect). You'll go far with my cousins.
Thank you!
Love it man. Great video. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it! No need to thank me, I really enjoy this life and showing it. Thank YOU for watching.
Yummy food, peaceful.
Very!
I never get tired of seeing the videos on the local markets and carinderias. I 'll be living on the outskirts of Davao and there a lot of these places. Thanks for showing what's possible.
Thank you for watching
I got Street food one time in boracay 3 years ago ,,and it was the last time,,but I like to buy there fruits 😋 good video

So lucky bro what feeling like province life I love it. I'm here manila working. God bless
Thank you my friend. We were only in Manila for two days this last trip. I’m sure I will be back up there at some point this year though. It’s nice to visit but I prefer to live in the province!
Looking forward to my own permanent move there in province but in Agusan del Norte. Love the mountains. Thanks for the clips and perspective! Can’t wait to leave this noise behind
I haven’t been back home in years, but love watching your videos and how you interact with everyone. God bless you man.
Thank you 😊
You're adapting pretty good. Thanks for sharing this video.
It feels like home to me
It’s more fun in Bindoy kuya ☺️☺️😁😁😁 hehehe…. Dungaw is nice too 😍….
😬🐓🐶
I love that you are buying in the community and not Robinsons or the mall!!! Love it..
Of course! Rather help a family over a bank any day. Plus is sooooo much healthier.
You're a good man and I wish you happiness. I subscribed
Thank you!
Watching from New York!
You guys have the best pizza! And the worst traffic! Lol
True😆😬
👍✅😲✅👍
❤️❤️❤️…lovely place, fresh food….great atmosphere always! What a life ❣️ Envious 🤩
Even grocery shopping here is a pleasure
The Mountains... Yeah... Montanan. I can't live anywhere in any type of harmony if I cannot see the Mountains. The Mountains are outstanding in the Philippines.
I love the way they look over here
You’re doing the right thing buying LOCAL & it’s healthier. Love your channel. Your fan from Oregon🌻🌿
Thank you! Just got pineapples, beef and peanut butter last night straight from the families making them. Great quality, fresh, cheap and helping the community and not a large chain grocery store.
Good to see your using the lingo
As much as I can
People appreciate if a foreigner knows a bit of the language, so yeah I agree. A few words will make the vibe positive that quickly
It really helps and everyone always smiles afterwards
I’m prior military and visited Subic Bay twice. Loved it. I retire from teaching in 5 years. I’m thinking of moving there.
It’s great to hear that you’re thinking of that. When I was in the service, I was over here as well, but on a different island. There’s a big ex-pat communities all over there as well.
Kuya Cory,
I soooooooooo agree with you! Being polite does the trick!! Damn the apples are 10 pesos in Dumaguete!!! The apples are 50 pesos in Lapu Lapu!... Heck I think I'll go with my option for the overloooking lot in Dauin. Geez Cory you got me mixed up again. Anyway! not your issue but I continue loving your channel! Keep it up! Salamat Po!
Salamat! That is a nice area though I have to say. It was my first time there last week and I really liked it. But yes, the closer you are to the city we both know the cost go up. On food anyways but building supplies are going to be cheaper.
@@ItsMe_Philippines Yeah I follow you! I like the Dumaguete Area. Really do! My pickle is that my wife started a dog and cat breeding business... She is in Lapu Lapu. Her clients are generally in the Metro Cebu area... It's quite profitable! Ideally If I stay within a 2 hour drive from Cebu. We will go in on most sundays to deliver the pets... Business is unaffected...But my heart fell for Dumaguete.... And I see you going... We are very alike... and you are not making things easy with your great videos. Geez Cory!!!
@@patricke.987 Sorry? lol
Compare this to the super busy, traffic Manila..I’ll take the province life.
Salute to you Sir helping a small community !
Thank you 😊
Count me as a new subscriber !🙏👍
Interesting on the charity tags find. I don't have any issue with this at all, probably I approve more. I would be happier knowing the shirt I donate then gets sold on and that person then provides something more useful for their family than my shirt.
Love the market places. Awesome to experience that kind of atmosphere and people watch while getting some street food.
1. Ka la mahn see
2 They stare because they respect you! That's why they will always call you Sir!
Married my fiipina wife 10 years ago. Best decision of my life. I am happy to see people like you enjoying beautiful Philippines. Especialy the province. My wife is from Bicol region.
Love your shopping video the cockpit sound so active and makes me want to be there as fast as possible but have a few more years to be ready
Thank you and try to visit before then!
I plan to take a visit next year
Thanks for supporting the locals 😊
I love supporting the locals!
Hey bro, this reminds me a funny story that happened to me 10 years ago in the Phils: we went to a market and a market saleslady said something in visaya to my wife. I didn't understand visaya very well by this time, so I had my wife translates after: the saleslady said: "what are you doing here? If I had a foreigner like this, I'd stay home and hug him all day long". 😅
hahahahaha to funny
Awesome! Thank you! Sounds like you could save a lot of money living in the province and visiting the city when you want to.
I save a lot living here
dang you are picking the native language. thats good..
I'm in their country so it's only right to show respect.
Your dog is always laying down lol.
Yeah she’s Leah’s so helpful lol
Your a good dude
I’m just a guy living a simple life.
"Everything is cheap ... ridiculously cheap!" ... I wouldn't let vendors hear me say that. Your videos are always great, you can really tell a story with a camera. You have natural talent.
Thank you for that comment. I'm new to this so it can make me question myself.
Maayung hapon PRE😵
where are you in the Philippines?? it looks interesting nice place...i am planning to go back to my province for my retirement, living where i came from , tired of living city life for 50 years...YOU i guess you make a right decission ...
Thank you! Living north of Dumaguete near Bais city on Negros
in the philippines, prices vary because of supply/demand issue. thats is the only reason for any price variation in any island, in any city, or any baranggay.
Interesting way to look at it
Ask your wife to make you jumbo size lumpia with just grilled ribeye steak and sharp cheddar cheese! It is so delicious!
I just subscribed because i didnt knew about it before and I am loving everything that you post. I just love that kind of market so much. I lived in the Philippines but in Manila because of our job. I really miss the Philippines and jealous of you. (Good jealous)
Thank you very much and we love the province life. I’ve spent a few weekends in Manila and didn’t care for it.
new subscriber here sir...
Thank you and you have the best RUclips name I’ve seen!
Awwww, geezzz ….Missing my home country BIG Time!! Thanks for videos like these 🇵🇭
No need to thank me. Thank you and other Filipinos for being so welcoming. I get nothing but happy greetings and smiles every day of my life. It’s me that’s blessed to be here.
Just as you said, my fiancee and I went to the market in Marikina where the clerk wouldn't give her senior discount because she was with a foreigner. But they gave it to her after she showed her that I had no money.
Lol
I love your channel you and your wife give me hope
Thank you!
Man wish to go there for vacation soon everybody so happy and things there are dirt cheap. Also wanna find a lady there .
It’s a wonderful country and you won’t have an issue meeting someone
