Is it just me, or does it seem like this person bought all the new camping gadgets available online but doesnt have much camping experence? For sure the Jimmy is a great vehicle and the location is beautifuul and well filmed.
@@jjsantos1206482 Not so much errors, but just seems inexperienced. All the gear is brand new and while I'm sure it's adequate, time and experience will show you more efficient use. For example, why light the campfire so far away from the camp? High heat stove on an empty pot instead of low heat or adding something to the pot before scorching the bottom. You are not doing anything wrong, just minor newbie things.
@@cdstm5520 All the equipment is new and unused. Experienced campers know that cooking with camping gear is different yet he puts his pot on the stove on high heat before there is anything in the pot. Lightweight aluminum pans do not heat up the same and you can hear the pot scream when he adds the water. That is a good way to ruin the pan. An experienced camper would know this. Camping pots do not hold heat so need no warmup before adding water and because they are thin metal they do not spread the heat the same. High heat before adding anything to the pot is both bad for the pot and a waste of fuel. Classic beginner mistake. If you must preheat like for oil, it should be done on a very low flame, not full blast. The same is true for titanium cooking gear. Thin metal pots, poor heat distribution, no thermal mass. If you are trying to boil water, fill the pot before you light the stove. If you want to heat oil before cooking, low heat for just a few seconds, but never high heat. You can buy all the fancy gear you want but knowing how to use it is important.
