The Copa Pure series seems very mature; feels like they've hit on something good and mizuno-style they're only making slight adjustments, in contrast to the more volatile speed boot lines etc. I would like to try them out sometime
I'm glad that adidas finally listened to the bad reviews of the previous copa pure model, as there were a lot of bad reviews on the adidas website about the durability of the boots, with all of them breaking the top lace holes, I see that good changes have been made here and I'm hopeful that this problem will not happen again, and the paint on the leather was cracking and peeling, I think because of the bad reviews adidas decided to quickly rework this model
Great work on the review. I've seen a comment mention this but supposedly tthe Premiers have officially switched to calfleather skin instead of kangaroo leather. You could be the first to clear this up and it would be really interesting to see the difference between new and old colorways.
I really think that on comfort and adjustability point of view, there is nothing better than an actual tongue like on the 2.1. I really don’t see a case for better lock down with the prime knit one piece upper.
Just ordered myself a pair right after watching this video! I have been mucking about looking for a new pair of football boots. Thank you for your review.
These remind me of a 2023 version of the old leather F50 Adizeros but with a closed tongue 👌🏽🔥 very promising haven’t been this exited for an adidas release in years
How does it compares to Tiempo Legend 7? Since it is knit + leather. TL7 has a flyknit tongue & heel. And which one do you prefer to wear? Thanks for your reply in advance Josh!
I’d like if you could talk about the stud lengths on boots. I feel like a lot of adidas boots especially have very shallow studs so they’re not particularly versatile.
Which boot would you pick between these, the Predators, or the Phantom GX2? I really like leather uppers (I loved the Tiempo Legend 6 and I really like my current Copa 20.1), but I also really like the appeal of control elements like in the Predators and Phantoms. However, I don't know if I'll miss the leather upper feel with the Predators or especially the GX2.
Preds are great, but don't necessarily have that soft, leather feel that it sounds like you're looking for. They have leather-like qualities for sure, but nothing beats the real thing. GX 2 is an excellent boot, but it's also a very different feel from leather. They're 3 of the top 5 or 6 boots on the market right now IMO, so there's not a bad choice among them. Just depends on whether you're looking to try something new, or stick with what you know you like.
Hey Jorsh. Keep up the good work. Wondering if you were aware that something strange is going on with Nike's Premier 3s. Some retailers have started listing the upper material as "cowhide" instead of "kangaroo". And Nike's site has the material listed as "synthetic leather". Maybe you can clear this up (I think you could still be the first to address this in a video.) Thx.
nike's official statement was always just about kangaroo leather. They use leather in some of their trainers like some dunks, and air monarchs. I don't think they'll ever stop using it as its proven to be irreplaceable as of now. The premiers are most probably calf leather now.
My comment was about identifying which material is used specifically on Premier 3s and whether the material has been changing throughout this generation (which is highly unusual.) Not about Nike using leather in general.
I did recently get a pair shipped to California and was curious about the same thing since they shipped them to me. So maybe they quietly got rid of K leather for the new color ways
@@AlexisMartinez-wn6sb From my research, it seems like the most recent colorways are cow leather instead of K leather. But there are some rumors that Nike is now using synthetic leather in Premier 3s, and some Nike websites even have the material listed as synthetic.
hi josh or anyone that can help, I recently bought the phantom gx and I don't like the upper or feel. For some reason I love playing in Astros because of the traditional slightly padded feel, do you think these will feel like that?
I would normally agree with you, but they really don’t feel like they’re lacking in leather. More leather is always a plus in my books, but they’ve done a great job with how these feel both on feet and on the ball!

The only issue is whether these sell or not. I never buy brand new at full price. I would buy these if I had the money
Interesting fact, they are $250 on Adidas official site instead of $280
adidas site is already using his coupons 🤣
They genuinely are, It's all the other football boot sites that have them at $280
I bought it while it was on discount

I'm definitely getting this ones

What's wider? Tekela's low wide or Copa 2.1? Great VID! Thanks!

Long live the k-leather boot!
Yo, can you do review on this model but academy one, before friday pls
I tried them on and they’re nice but the part around my ankle flares out a bit so I had to pass on them
This might be the first time I’ve ever heard Joe say the modern Copa was better than a Tiempo Legend
Great review on what are a very interesting pair of boots.
I wish the turf version of these were shaped like the FG ones
Your way of reviewing is great❤
Kinda reminds me of the Mizuno rebula cup
Is it suitable for ag pitch
can you please compare these and the new mizuno beta elites?
I need the 2.1 ‘s in turf!!
Can you review the under armour shadow pro fg ? Would be great only one Video online. Nice Video today, keep going!

What do you think Josh?
please make academy boots tier list or what should buy the academy boots tier
Will there be an AG option?
Will only decide based on your review of the pure 2.1
Would these be okay on AG, I know the risk with FG on AG but also aware you can get away with it on some boots more then others
Who here thinks this colorway is just better
Yeah luckily the gay phase from last year is gone
I got both 2.1 and 2+ and I’m happy with them. Cant wait to put them on and ball 💪🏽
Do they stretch to the point they feel loose on your feet?
I’d like if you could talk about the stud lengths on boots.

Good idea. I see a lot of people look for somehting can be quite safely used on AG pitches even though they are FGs

Can you do a top turf boots video?
I got my pair on Monday but didn't wear them yet.
There are about impossible to find in EU. Were they replaced by something or whats the deal?

I need these in all black
My gripe with adidas is the color ways lol. These are fire but when Adidas misses on the colors they miss by a lot.
Just give us simple black with white stripes
@︎✝️: Is there a difference between Copa pure 2 + and the Copa pure 2 elite kt?
No, same boots, they just changed the name 👍
hi josh or anyone that can help, I recently bought the phantom gx and I don't like the upper or feel. For some reason I love playing in Astros because of the traditional slightly padded feel, do you think these will feel like that?
I have the copa pure .1 in a size 8, they feel just a tiny bit loose after breaking in. Shoukd i size down to a 7.5 for the copa pure 2 plus?
If you find that the 8 is too long, yes.
Does anybody know why adidas hasn’t released other colorways of the 2+?
What's the protection like on the toebox and sides for a cb
Which is better, this one or mizuno morelia neo iv beta japan?
Is there any difference between these and the pure elites or is it just the name
The Elite is quite a bit different
Now we wait for the .3 review
Whould you you get the plus or elite
How do these compare to the copa pure.1?
how does this compare to the pure.1?
Just bought some phantoms 😮💨
Do the takedown models of the Copa pure 2
Videos coming soon 👍
Dang no love for under armours magnetico 3.o
Are they good for wide feet?
They going to give it an actual AG plate, or just the identical one labeled FG?
Adidas is slooow about releasing the AG versions. At the moment, I can only find the Copa Pure .1 AGs on 3 sites.

Just not enough leather, honestly just the Pure first-generation with a full-leather upper would have been perfect

First good laced Copa since the 18.1?
Pure was great
20.1, Rice is still wearing a camo pair
What about copa pure 3?
Video coming soon!
Shame theres no proper AG version
Call me Mystic Mac, but I foresee that Adidas will return their X line to name it F50

Adipures for sure! There was a blue and gold colorway that Riquelme used to wear, and these remind me of those!
