There were just some restrictions and preventions like avoiding big gatherings, crowded places, social distancing and wearing masks in public transportation and hospitals. Some of them were lifted this month. Also residents could still get in with a mandatary quarantine prior to this month.
Yeah I was feeling the definition of lockdown hard to pinpoint in the Taiwan news cycle, but after they declared 大規模解封 I really noticed a difference on the streets and in people’s behavior, so that’s how I ended up translating the English🙂
I just literally translated 解封，my brother is actually in lockdown in Boston and he says it’s more like a honor system lockdown, many similarities to how life on our streets were for a while before the news declared 大規模解封，but I agree whatever you call it we definitely have it better than them whether before or after.
