Sorry, you just can't take Eric seriously. He drops sayings that are absolutely ridiculous, especially since he least of all keeps to them or creates the conditions for them. He was always an absolutely miserable businessman. In theory, Stephanie should have been CEO. His decisions were always a disaster on business. And then he demands respect and recognition. And it's about loyalty? That's laughable! When was Ricky-boy ever loyal ???? He lied and cheated on Eric, betrayed the company and an entire collection. Is that called loyalty then? Rick is already has the President of Forrester Creations and now he's vieing for the CEO position too. Rick cannot have both positions. Yes Ridge is head designer but he needs another challenge.
