Great tip. Please mention that the degrees are Fahrenheit! I tried Celsius and it was a disaster :D
Will it affect it if you apply an embossed pattern on it such as a brick, cobblestone or wood grain technique? Can't wait to try this technique. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this video! I honestly didnt know about this 😂 learn something new everyday!!
I know you mentioned we can use the cardboard cake boards, would I do this before I glue two or three together or can I proceed to get them to the desired thickness with the hot glue gun and then cover and bake? Also how far in advance can you make these and still have them keep their color, as I know some dark colors fade? Thanks for sharing!!!
Woah! Thats so unique and smart! Cant wait to try this!!!
Thanks LIz, I read somewhere that you preheat the oven shut it off, then put the board in?
absolutely fantastic! Love this. Thank you so much
This is amazing! So trying this! Thank you for showing us :)
Hi nice tutorial, one question can u reuse this board again
I'm gonna try this technique. thanks for the share.
I've been looking for a rolling pin like yours everywhere and can't seem to find any , do you happen to have a link to one ?? Also thankyou so much for the tutorial I followed your steps and loved the outcome I can't believe I haven't been doing this all along !! Xxx
I tried this and it worked wonderfully, thank you so much for sharing
did you do it with a card board? i'm afraid to try it.
Maris Rios yes I did, I put 4 cake board together to make a cake drum. I have an electric oven and had no problem..... put it on the lowest setting
Can you theoretically make a bunch and store them for use later?
Wow!!!! So awesome! Thank you for share it
So smart, cant wait to do this!
this is awesome. .thanks for sharing!
love this!
Hi. Can I use this method with Figurines? Something like fondant cut outs etc. I'm not confident with fondant but I still try to learn.
Tegann Fiji I don't think so. Fondant looses shape when heated up. I guess this works because its a flat piece
Yes you can, I used this technique to dry a topper but I turned the oven on to warm it to 170F then turned it off and left the door cracked
Hey Liz, do they give the board back? Can you explain proper etiquette on this?
I don’t recommend asking for a cake board back. Sometimes they are pretty nasty.
Thanks great vid!
question...can you also do this with figurines?? hope to get an answer??
Yes you can, I do it with figurines and my suger flowers, especially when I'm in a hurry (like all the time hahaha) but you have to make sure to put it on the lowest setting! For me that's 50°Celsius because I'm in the Netherlands 😁) Greetings Tamara
thank you😊
oh awesome! I always accidently mess up my board xD
Can you paint or airbrush on the baked board?
Hi do you have any information in shipping cakes like a homemade cake
How far in advance can you make these?
what kind of fondant did you use?
LMF.. Lizz Marek Fondant.. how to make it is on her artisan cake company youtube page..
I don’t have vegetable shortening, what else can I use?
what can I add instead of shortening, and is it necessary
I didn’t know baking cake boards was even a thing....shows what I know 😂 Why do you do this?
Do you reuse cake boards? :)
Mine started getting air bubbles after 5 min on the lowest setting!
Yeah mine too even though I had no air bubbles going in so I have no idea how to stop that!
How long will they last xc
Can we use this on foam boards?
No you can't do this on foam boards.
Mine came out even softer than how it went in the oven! How come??
It will get hard as it cools
Can plz someone reply why it's even needed?
So you don't accidently mark your board as baking makes it hard.
@@debsalex thanks for answering 💖
