There are many - let me google this for you. Just look south of me to Oregon. If you’re a homeowner you can do the work. A renter? Not allowed. Both require a permit be pulled unless replacing a damaged switch. And yes, they even includes stereo wiring for their regulations 😂 www.oregon.gov/bcd/Documents/brochures/2671.pdf
Smart bulbs do everything this does, but better 🤦♂️ through an app on my phone and I don’t have to walk around from switch to switch. Just no. Unless the power is out, when the switch won’t work anyways, I’ll have a LAN network that everything can run through, even without internet. This is beyond pointless.
I think you missed the point of a wall switch. You can control ceiling fans, existing led panels, a bank of lights - my kitchen has 9 flat led pucks on one switch. So yeah, different purpose than led bulbs 💡. And you don’t need an app to use these for kids and elderly. Tap and go.
Nice video!
I don't know of anywhere that code requires an electrician to change out a light switch. Please educate me if there are.

@@TheNetGuy Wow, that's just crazy. Because replacing a switch is so freaking easy. It's easier than changing a tire.

Wyze switch can be controlled with voice commands and without an internet connection the light switch can still be turned on or off.

Switch lasts longer than bulbs & cheaper
Another way to be lazy, if your phone is farther away than the switch
