1:05 I always find that in 5th stage Takumi's driving looks really unimpressive. Look at his exit to the corner and then compare that to Takumi Vs Ryosuke's battle or any battle from 2nd stage to 4th stage. He has supposed to have improved massively since then but then you get this.
If this is his first time on the course, he can’t magically understand what is behind every corner. Maybe he tried to stay flexible in case there was a more severe curve.
I will be frank, the animation details of the 4th season are better than the 5th season, in the 5th season it looks as if the cars are sliding on olive oil and if you pay attention, sometimes the wheels do not turn, the animators are lazy.
No the steering angle is actually accurate to real life, it's slight and just enough to turn the car around the turn without using any more effort to turn and the animation of the cars' movement is no different than 4th Stage
@@fujineetomori I guess I didn't explain what I mean, in some scenes none of the wheels of the cars turn, in fast scenes they use very few frames, sometimes there is no animation of turning the wheels(1:03), I can list many more things. As for what you said, I can say that the colors of the cars in season 4 are better, the ambient lighting is better and the tire physics feel better, the director of the 5th season is not smart at all, but the little kids love the 5th season.
@@NANOmasion umm, in 1:03, the 86's wheels are turning. Just at a slight angle. Takumi's maintaining the 86's slide without changing the steering angle
@@IKATEN501 no the wheels don't turn, not only in this scene, they made this mistake in other parts of the anime, so not only in the corners, sometimes even on the flat areas, the wheels of the car do not rotate, you can open it and see, as I said, the animators are lazy or work with a low budget.
There are 2 reasons I think why the race is dull. 1. The course is really long, and Project.D only practice on the half of the course to save time. 2. They need to save up the tires since the course is too long and they don't know how many stint/round the race will last.
It's a good race but the writer doesn't understand what makes the battles so engaging or probably too burnt out to think about it. Hojo race was definitely boring, nothing was really happening but the Shinji race takes the cake for its multiple revelations and twists in one race
@@fujineetomori I mean, I’m willing to talk about it with you. I won’t be toxic and just put you lol. After all, we like the same thing so why be toxic? I just don’t think a race needs to be flashy to be interesting. I played a lot of racing games at a competitive(ish) level and I can say with certainty that the most fun battles was when you were chasing someone obviously faster then you. I didn’t win a lot of the time but, to me I find a race of contention more fun then just one flashy pass once a race and that’s it
The only good thing to me about fifth stage is the intro. However I was heavily disappointed and didn't even finish watching the stage. Intro was hype but that's pretty much it. That's coming from a fan that watched the anime over at least 10-15 ten times since I discovered it in 2007. Fourth stage is my favourite for how well it's made. I'm a car guy and a motorsports fan so realism goes a long way for me. Plus well crafted animation combined with perfectly selected music is heaven for me. Not only that they cut out even more story than Fourth Stage, absolutely no build up to each races.
Another nice upscale 😎 If you dont mind me asking how are you able to seperate the sfx from the music? Personally experimenting with some clips aswell for some of my animated wallpapers
If you have the battle stage discs, there is a way to separate the tracks in the 5.1 audio, but I don't have those. All the sound in this vid is original, except :26-:32, where I just added the car's sound files. On other vids however, I don't separate any part of the original audio. I don't know if this makes sense but I have to remove the dialogue, etc manually in most of my clips by muting the original audio, and then overlaying the music and other sound files. So no fancy software to separate sound channels or something (this is what the editor looked like on the last vid.. drive.google.com/file/d/1zBfMLCSJRVQEdYgi7NFQLks_ctqrKyX_/view?usp=sharing).
What made me dislike 5th stage the most was how the Fujiwara Zone was portrayed. Initial D always maintained a sense of realism, but seeing Takami's Hachi Roku teleport in front of his opponents was just ridiculous looking.
If you really understood how Takumi trained from 1st to 4th stage, then you'd really know what Fujiwara Zone is. All you "fans" take it for granted w/out full knowledge on cars. Fujiwara Zone simply means "All the things that he has learned thrown into one medium of animation." And that is the "blurr". It's not really a blurr-blurr like you idiots taking it literally. It's just a portrayal of lazy animation.
@@thischannelisback3153 read my comment carefully lol. "What made me dislike 5th stage the most was how the Fujiwara Zone was portrayed." I am well aware that it is just a visual effect. My complaint is how it was portrayed. It looked ridiculous.

It was a practice run project D made his 86 light as hell he's not gonna have full control because the power and little weight
Or blame the animators. They have different teams to animate each of those cars' move.
@@Nismo_Tyrone I mean isn't Takumi supposed to be very good at driving and therefore should be able to handle the low weight and high power?
that's maybe because this is an ANIMATION, the team behind the anime had a bunch of different cgi and directors.
