    Very nicely done comparison so that people can choose what paints they want to use. I am like you on the second one where there was gaps in the paint… I thought that was very cool. Every year I make about 40 ornaments for the grandchildren and great grandchildren in my family and I’m always looking for new ideas. My only problem with this particular project is there’s a lot of waste and paint… It’s too bad you can’t find a way of scraping up the runoff and reusing it

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  Год назад

      I agree about the waste. I have had the ornaments drip back into the squeeze bottles before. But that means I can't do as many at once. If I'm only doing one or two that is how I do it though. :)

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  8 месяцев назад +1

      I think it would be possible though difficult. I would start with the bottom glitter colour and pour it inside on the side without the sealer, then move it around the bottom half only and dump the excess from the side that doesn't have the sealer again. Then you can add your secondary colour. It would probably be easier to do the double glitter colour on the outside and seal it with an epoxy but if you aren't set up for that, it would be a pain. I now want to try this lol

      Unfortunately you won't be able to cut the insert without a cutting machine like the Cricut.

      Yes. The graphic I used was colour. Just make sure you read the acetate specs first. What type of printer, is it for black ink or colour or both?

    Hi I’m trying to cut on the trans lucent paper I’m doing exactly what you’re doing and mine is not cutting when I go to print and cut it reads the registration marks at scans but it does not cut and it says print then cut error the machine cannot read the cut cents from Marks make sure you are using white material which I’m not I’m using the clear see-through material and I’ve tried the translucent car and I just tried the one you did with the foil ascertain and it’s telling me the same exact thing I’m wondering if you have any other ideas that can help me I just called cricket and they told me it’s because it’s see-through and it should be a white paper which is not true because I’ve made these ornaments not the same exact ones but I’ve cut before on the sheet and I don’t know why it’s not working for me.

      Try tracing the black registration marks with a black Sharpie and a ruler. If your printer doesn't print a true black that can solve it.

      @@LovelyLouLouDesigns so I figured out what I did wrong and it finally worked thank you again one other issue I use the poly acrylic for the glitter and the half of the back of the ornament and it dried for two days when I went to put in the picture it scratched the glitter off the back do you have any other tips for that

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  2 года назад

      @@antoniettabertino8509 I had that when I used paint since it's thicker. My best guess is you didn't let it drain long enough so it was too thick when you added glitter and didn't dry all the way. The coat should be thin.

      @@LovelyLouLouDesigns so are you stating I should use paint and then add the glitter a thin coat?

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  2 года назад

      @@antoniettabertino8509 no. Use the Polycrylic. Just make sure it's a thin coat. What I'm saying is the only time I've had that happen is when I've used paint which is much thicker. So my best guess is you aren't draining enough and it's too thick. Use the Polycrylic, make sure it's only a thin coat and you drain well enough before adding the glitter. I've never had this happen with Polycrylic so that's my best guess.

    I'm confused by your comment about printing on polyester acetate. Number one I followed your link and it doesn't say polyester anywhere. #2. I found this video searching for instructions for sublimating on polyester film. I guess this is not it. Your just printing regular ink onto acetate that does not need to be polyester, correct?

    • @LovelyLouLouDesigns
      @LovelyLouLouDesigns  9 месяцев назад

      Correct, this is not a sublimation tutorial. I am using a laser printer with a plastic transparency film for laser printers. Inkjet transparency film would be use for an inkjet printer.

      You can find suppliers who sell fewer blanks at a time. I bought in bulk because at the time was making about 100 a season. I don't do that anymore since I've slowed that end of my business down.
