We have this seat (minus the anti rebound bar) and even though we’ve been using it for 2+ years, I still found the video helpful to make sure our little one is safe in her seat! Great content Michelle!!
Thank you, Michelle!! We're getting a Graco convertible seat on Friday so this was posted just in time. 👍🏼 I feel much more confident with the installing process after watching this!
This video is so helpful! We have this verse at sans rebound bar, is it possible to purchase the rebound bar separately and add into the car seat after the fact?
Did this baby not have the infant insert in place? We just bought this exact car seat and have been googling to try and figure out if our 1 year old needs the head and bottom insert?
The inserts for this seat can be used for the entire rear-facing time if desired. However, we find the head insert tends to push the head forward, so we always remove that one. The bottom insert can be nice when potty training as it does tend to absorb a lot of the mess, which makes cleaning a little easier.
I am struggling with if my 4 month old fits appropriately…I know you said the hip straps are different but his are on his legs not hips. Is that normal?
Thanks for this great video! We bought our graco extend2fit car seat 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my first. These things are obviously made to last, but watching this video, I saw some new features that our car seat doesn’t have since it’s a bit older (such as that anti rebound bar). My question is… would it be worth it/recommend to buy a new car seat to stay on top of the latest safety features even when the car seat we own is pretty new (2 yrs old) and not expired (or close to being expired)?
Thanks for watching! This is just a different model of the Extend2Fit. The one you have is still made as well. This one has an easier-to-tighten harness, an anti-rebound bar, a short-lived high back booster mode (usable for around 6-12 months after the harness is outgrown), and it doesn't have the under 40# recline rule for forward-facing that your version has. That rule can make the seat incompatible in some vehicles if you turn the child forward-facing before they reach 40#. I wouldn't bother buying a new one since you already have a similar seat.
@@safeintheseat Thank you!!! I have a Mysize65 that I’ve loved but I broke the styrofoam in the headwinds so searching for that next seat. I could get the Size4Me which is essentially the same but never loved mine forward facing so looking for something easy to install and uninstall rearfacing quickly and easily and one that I would like better once we’re ff
Is the bubble expected to be within the range of the line or actually below the lines? The manual is confusing me saying under line for 3+ yet picture shows a range .
We have this seat and i feel like we need pool noodles? Baby looks uncomfortable even though correctly in the level indicator. Drive a car with bucket seats so there is an angle
Pool noodles are not needed if the recline indicator is correct. If the child can sit unassisted, any angle that has the ball in the blue is fine. If not, you want the ball in the light blue section.
There is a recline indicator on the side of the seat. There is a light blue area for kids under 3 months, and kids over that can use the seat in any recline as long as it's anywhere in the blue area. We do recommend waiting until they can sit unassisted to move them to a more upright recline, but at that point, anything in the blue works fine.

Glad it was helpful! You can do this!
Such a neat video! I love that you helped real parents make sure their kid was safe in the seat! So cool!
We had a great time doing it! Glad you enjoyed the video
Such great content! I feel more confident each time I see something you post here and on Instagram!
Awesome! Thank you!

Hi! Do you have any video that talk about what’s the best location to put the buster seat? If behind driver/passenger seat or on the middle seat?
Wherever it fits the best is fine!

@@safeintheseat Oh that’s a great idea for the potty training phase. Good to know about the head insert! Thanks so much!
Just bought this seat and this answered my question about the head insert! Thank you!!

Yes, it's normal. There aren't multiple setting for the hip straps so they will end up in different places as the child grows.

Do any of the extend 2 fit carseats have the opening in the rearfacing belt path to access that latch strap without having to pull down the cover?
Any of the ones with a Rapid Remove cover are easier to do this with.

How do you check the bubble? I mean you need a level ground, but driveways aren’t usually level. Suggestions?
You can check it when you are at a gas station. The ground there must be level.
