That deep tooth blade is really great! Video show the proof that this trimmer and blade combination is universal for many hair textures. You could always get the graphite 2.0 blade for the gold fx trimmers.

I’ve adjusted mine a few times and have only been able to get them to cut sharp lines if they are basically zero gapped and biting a little bit. When I initially set them a hair back like most of my other trimmers they wouldn’t cut clean lines at all and I kept having to go over and over the same spots.
I adjusted my gold ones probably five times before I got them where I wanted. Maybe try a few more times and see. I set mine barely under zero. Just enough for my finger nail to catch the edge.
The difference is in the blade, the gold blade is better for lining/blading. The gold one bottom blade thinner

Just curious why you didn't mention the zero gap tool that it comes with. Also, just an idea you can zero gap them and then show results before and after.
Didn’t even think about it. I do my adjusting by hand not with the tool. I show how to use it in my newer video on tool maintenance.

Why they have to mess it up by using the spray? if a barber still gotta use the spray then whats the purpose of buying new trimmers then? might as well use ANY trimmer if you just gonna go behind um with the spray.
I agree you can use any trimmer if you’re going to use a razor or enhancements. But....a hitting trimmer can still bring value. And also enhancements are going to help clients with those light spots. Like my hair for example, I can’t get a sharp vertical bar, so enhancements help. Nothing to do with the trimmer.
@@Seancutshair yea I get that. I just felt like in this particular case the haircut was already tight and didn't need the enhancements. I'm not talking about people like you that may really need it.

Actually deep touth performs good for fades but fine and standard blades better for making lines and cleaning, i think .

I thought the gold Blade was a bit more sharper on the line ups than the graphite one so why do most prefer the black blade?
There are two graphite’s, one is the deep tooth, one is the fine tooth. I like the graphite fx707b which is the fine tooth but graphite

They’re sharp out the box but once you zero gap these things they’re monsters
I got the silver fx , love it, cuts sharp but it does bite a little bit
Chocobo kei try resetting them until they don’t bite. Usually takes me a few tries

Out the box they didnt bite but after gapping them i havent been able to get them to not bite. Ill keep trying.
Are they quieter than the gold ones ?
David Young at the moment yes. But I think they get louder the more you use them.
I wouldn’t give up my gold ones. The gold fx ones have a titanium blade. The silver ones have a graphite blade on them. Two different blades. The graphite blade is suppose to keep the clippers cooler but it’s not a better blade than the titanium blades

Nice. I am looking to bald out my head every two days, will it hold up for balding? Or will it over heat and get Dull? How low does this FX cut? 0.1mm or 0.2mm?

Have a Andis cordless t outliner that I can’t hit consistently, narrowed it down the the fx or the wahl detailer. Is the graphite 2.0 blade better then the original? I don’t usually do much design work, besides simple. Would the graphite blade be a must??

I haven’t. Just went back to my gold trimmers. Another guy in my shop wanted the graphite. Not a bad idea though 👌🏻

Great review, I recently bought the silver FX and it pull/snag especially cleaning up around the neckline against the grain,any idea on what may be causing this or may I have brought a defective one???
