Now this is perfect place to do your stuff. Everything he did fit and didn't mess up the grove. I love it! Most drummer placements be all over the place and throws everything off. I miss the old COGIC days. Practice was during service. This was for keyboard players and organist drummers etc. We all knew. If you mess up. Pastor was going to tell you to get up and let someone else play. It forced you to master your craft. Other words. First thing you learned was pocket. And you did one fill in a Sunday LOL. Every Sunday you learned a new trick. We could tell those who only had one trick lol. They did the same fill every time. We like bro if you do that lick one more time! Fun times fun times. There was no way to hide. If you was good it showed. If it wasn't for you! It showed. Beautiful part about it was. No one went to school to learn anything. We all were drumline before the movie ever came out. Natural skills. We didn't have click tracks either. I still think that's cheating but that's me. Same way I feel double bass pedal was cheating. You should be able to do that on a single. Dang if we could turn back hands of time with certain things. I still prefer the tube b3 organ. I can't stand the all electric Hammond. Ok I'm done lol
