i dunno why but when my friend showed me them, i was like "huh shorts cool- thighs- hey they're cool!" i never like, stanned them, but the pants never really hit me as something too weird
The difference is that Taemin had already gained fame and respect due to SHINee, he was already beloved by people and had a huge fanbase. When you have all that you can get away with that stuff. With A.C.E their fanbase was small (and mostly international) so when they debuted with those shorts, showing off really muscular legs which is the opposite of the standard 'boyish' look expected from new groups, they were simply assumed to be "attention seeking" via being "inappropriate". Those were though times but I'm glad they survived that period and are now finally starting to get some recognition.

I think they'll have to introduce it again as a trademark once they've successfully taken off. I love the short shorts, personally, but if their audience decides to be touchy about it and it hinders their success and causes the number opportunities to dwindle, it might be for the best. It'd be absolutely tragic if they weren't a successful group because they're all SO talented it's crazy.

Yes, really love their strategy. 5 of them have never been in the same team. They always become ACE in each of their teamss. And all of them have been leaders, main vocal, main dancer, choreograper, also center. At the end In Mixnine 3 of them decided to join the same group together.

A.C.E is a group that has worked hard since predebut and I admire them a lot for that. I am proud to say that I am CHOICE because I will always be there for them, we will all be there, always. Even if you dont know the lyrics. I remember this segmen in some shows about the big 3 ceos commenting to their idol- self producers song demos. They were quite picky and hard filtering to those tone beats.
I've followed ACE since debut, and when it was the calling star time I spammed the hearts until my hand hurt, stayed up all night collecting and voting... 2 in the unit, 3 in mixnine, Choices and A.C.E fighting!

David Dacus Nah, it's just because The Unit is a sham. It's supposed to be about Idols who've already debuted, yet they passed a fucking trainee. Jesus.
But the thing is, they sang well, danced well and had an amazing aura. I felt like Taemin and Hyuna's criticism was too harsh. They gave boots to almost all of the Good Day members even though they were arguably less talented. I think they were a bit irked by the "hot pants" thing. I feel like they weren't pleased with it because they built up their popularity and respect for a long time before wearing such revealing clothing. Perhaps they thought that A.C.E was just fanservice. However, as a Choice, I believe that they are so much more... THEY DESERVE THE WORLD, PLS SUPPORT THEM.

Jinwoo from Winner said that even after debut, things will get harder and harder. After debut is the real challenge for idols. Consider Jinwoo came from YG, a big 3 company, said that. It must be very hard too for A.C.E and other groups from small companies. But you can clearly see how smart the members & their agency to promote them in several survival shows. Thank you Beat for not giving up on these boys. 2019, they released the 3rd mini album. Under Cover is amazing and I learn to know A.C.E from this era. The live stage is great. I'm beyond happy to see them now after those hard works. A.C.E fighting and please keep growing even after your enlistment!!!
Jun caught my attention with his monster solo cam, that's how I came back looking for his audition. Didn't know he was the one that danced to Gashina (which I loved). I loved them. Looked for their songs and LOVED THEM. Found out they had another three members in mixnine so I started watching it too. Now, my bias is Jason, but Chan gets me and OMG JUN!!! Yeah, we can say I love them
I personally don't mind the shorts, shows off a bit of leg, shows how hard they've worked, and gives the fans a little bit of a treat. I say it's a win-win situation
Firmansyahmn Maman those members in MIXNINE were so darn good! If only the voters loved em as much as YG CEO loved those 3 members, maybe all 3 of em entered the debut team. But oh well. They all nailed their leader responsibilities so darn frickin well it made YG look bad as an agency in terms of training his kids holistically. hehe
To be honest their song choice for their first performance was kinda lack luster. It didn’t fully show and highlight their best attributes. They have a lot of potential and skill so a different song would have been better to showcase their talent.

I've always heard a lot about A.C.E because of the comments from fans on various videos, but this is the first time I'm watching any of them, and they were BRILLIANT. Especially gashina. They seriously killed it. I will definitely watch more of their stuff and support them in the future since talented people should never be slept on :D
But like..... Why would the hot pants detract from their attention??? That's what confuses me, especially when a lot of K-pop artists use fan service as a means of appealing to their audiences. I can't understand why the judges seemed to be looking down on them the whole time. That was a face I've never seen on Taemin before. But I fell in love with ACE because I loved the song and dance to Cactus, the hot pants were an added bonus I only found out later. I seriously can't understand why these boys aren't more popular, they're wonderful people and have worked so hard, they deserve the world and I hope they get more recognition than they have been.
Well just at any time that he's on screen, I see a face of intense disapproval... I mean, that's my interpretation, and I really love Taemin, I wouldn't have ever thought that he would look that way reacting to a performance. I watched some other clips from this show and Taemin never seems to really pull any other faces similar, so I thought that he just really disliked their performance for some weird reason. Like sure, it wasn't to your taste, but idk. Just throwing random opinions out there that don't make sense is what the internet is for lmao.

Donttouch Myhair This was all speculation on my part, so don’t take anything I say as full truth, but yeah, all the judges seemed put off at the hot pants comment and I can’t say for sure that affected their reactions the rest of the video, but they all are obviously put off by it. I’m sure they’re all great judges and knew what they were talking about, but there’s that small part of me that thinks maybe they were a bit biased in not voting for them. However, I can also see the other perspective that the maroon 5 song wasn’t their greatest choice, so nothing can be for sure.
I did felt that they judged them because of the hot pants. But gladly it didn’t seem to affect their opinion on their audition. Because truthfully the maroon 5 one was ok. Wasn’t anything special. But taemin asked for another dance thankfully, and it showed their skills, dance wise, very well
I am late but yeah I got shivers from this. They have perfect harmony and sometimes tension when they dance together. It fits really well and it is exciting to watch them~ Both are amazing dancers.
It's so satisfying to watch this now in 2020 and to know that A.C.E. with Jun and Chan are doing well. Web-drama Twenty-twenty with Chan as a rapper Son Bohyun will be aired these days, and their come back with new album is expected on September, 2. Jun and Chan, A.C.E. Fighting!

Aro Brillia, As far as we know (Choice, correct me, if I'm wrong), only one member (Wow) is interested in producing music (on YT channel they have some very confusing short clips with bgm produced by him). But some of them can play instruments, so we'll see how it goes in the future. They only have two songs for now, so it's kinda early to say anything about writing their own, imo. The members are actively involved in creating choreography tho, so I don't think it'd be a problem with a music as well. Beat Interactive is quite a nice company
I honestly don't know them and it is the first video I have watched but for unexplainable reason I wanna hug and give my love to them. They look humble and speak with their heart. Gonna search them now and would love to know them more...

i knew ace before they debut, specifically through the first song they performed. I got to know them when I was watching 1MILLION DANCE. And I've always thought of them as being really good at dancing so I'm glad they got through. Fighting!

Actually, they're doing pretty well ^_^ if you watch more recent episodes, they're about to go through eliminations. Both mixnine and the unit. They even get plenty of screen time and are really hard working and have so far passed their missions so far. A.C.E fighting!
I know right?! I can't believe they still making the 'hot pants issue' a problem and talking about it like it's so important. I can't believe people made this a problem, first of all, but I kind of understand bcs of the society we live in.
Since following these boys when they were barely creating covers, I can not say I regret supporting them one bit. But I will say that the use of "hot pants" was a highly creative idea that challenged the standard kpop debut style; I believe it was a wise choice to accentuate the unique nature of what A.C.E. is truly attempting to present themselves as, besides what viewers are able to witness through their vocals and choreography.
It’s funny how they got so much hate because of the hot pants and now when an idol wears something like hot pants or crop tops people go insane and say it’s great... but in reality A.C.E were the first male group to wear hot pants and crop tops and they did a great job. It's really frustrating even after five years like how much they got so much hate because of it.

I stan a.c.e after watching them at mixnine. Byeongkwan catch my eyes first with his dance. And donghun's voice when he sing love in the ice is so great like i almost cry when listening to his part. Sehyoon is really hardworking , he can get number 10+ from 100+. And i discovered more about park ocean and chanshine. I love them just like i love winner and blackpink 😊❤ I feel so regret to not stan them since their debut😢 They are really really talented , and i believe they're gonna be one of the biggest group.
Now their under cover cb is now no.9 on billboard world album chart. Congrats. They won a rising fan n star award last march 2019.these all achievement from a very small company.

Jinwoo from Winner said that even after debut, things will get harder and harder. After debut is the real challenge for idols. Consider Jinwoo came from YG, a big 3 company, said that. It must be very hard too for A.C.E and other groups from small companies. But you can clearly see how smart the members & their agency to promote them in several survival shows. Thank you Beat for not giving up on these boys.
2019, they released the 3rd mini album. Under Cover is amazing and I learn to know A.C.E from this era. The live stage is great. I'm beyond happy to see them now after those hard works. A.C.E fighting and please keep growing even after your enlistment!!!

To be honest their song choice for their first performance was kinda lack luster. It didn’t fully show and highlight their best attributes. They have a lot of potential and skill so a different song would have been better to showcase their talent.

Well just at any time that he's on screen, I see a face of intense disapproval... I mean, that's my interpretation, and I really love Taemin, I wouldn't have ever thought that he would look that way reacting to a performance. I watched some other clips from this show and Taemin never seems to really pull any other faces similar, so I thought that he just really disliked their performance for some weird reason. Like sure, it wasn't to your taste, but idk. Just throwing random opinions out there that don't make sense is what the internet is for lmao.

I’m sure they’re all great judges and knew what they were talking about, but there’s that small part of me that thinks maybe they were a bit biased in not voting for them. However, I can also see the other perspective that the maroon 5 song wasn’t their greatest choice, so nothing can be for sure.
I did felt that they judged them because of the hot pants. But gladly it didn’t seem to affect their opinion on their audition. Because truthfully the maroon 5 one was ok. Wasn’t anything special. But taemin asked for another dance thankfully, and it showed their skills, dance wise, very well

Aro Brillia, As far as we know (Choice, correct me, if I'm wrong), only one member (Wow) is interested in producing music (on YT channel they have some very confusing short clips with bgm produced by him). But some of them can play instruments, so we'll see how it goes in the future. They only have two songs for now, so it's kinda early to say anything about writing their own, imo.
The members are actively involved in creating choreography tho, so I don't think it'd be a problem with a music as well. Beat Interactive is quite a nice company

Since following these boys when they were barely creating covers, I can not say I regret supporting them one bit.
But I will say that the use of "hot pants" was a highly creative idea that challenged the standard kpop debut style; I believe it was a wise choice to accentuate the unique nature of what A.C.E. is truly attempting to present themselves as, besides what viewers are able to witness through their vocals and choreography.

I stan a.c.e after watching them at mixnine. Byeongkwan catch my eyes first with his dance. And donghun's voice when he sing love in the ice is so great like i almost cry when listening to his part. Sehyoon is really hardworking , he can get number 10+ from 100+. And i discovered more about park ocean and chanshine. I love them just like i love winner and blackpink 😊❤ I feel so regret to not stan them since their debut😢 They are really really talented , and i believe they're gonna be one of the biggest group.
Now their under cover cb is now no.9 on billboard world album chart. Congrats. They won a rising fan n star award last march 2019.these all achievement from a very small company.
