- In early July Ivan and Suzie popped down to Italy to take part in the Abruzzo Gran Tour in the Ferrari 250 GT. www.abruzzogra....
This was a fantastic 5 day event in the Abruzzo region of Italy, starting and ending in Avezzano. There was a wide selection of fantastic cars participating, with more cars joining at the weekend.
They drove along some spectacular roads in national parks such as the Gran Sasso and visited beautiful historic towns such as Atri and Pecasseroli. They even visited the Fucino space station and dined on the Adriatic coast. Plus there was the opportunity for Ivan to drive very enthusiastically on closed roads around Avezzano on the Saturday night.
The car ran beautifully and they had a marvelous time.

Living the dream. What an adventure. Pre town lap "Getting it sideways and knocking all the barriers over" comment made me laugh. Obviosly a joke. And then goes for a heroic clutch kick and full welly just past the apex of the first sharp left on the second lap, trying to provoke it...... superb. Best thing I've seen in ages.
'Ferris Dutton's day off'! - Well, that must've shot the Werther's Originals out the glove-box : )

Such a wonderful selection of stunning automobiles.
Thank goodness fir events like this encouraging owners to bring the cars out to driven as intended. Its so dad that so many probably wouldnt see the light of day otherwise.
These kind of trips are what i dream of taking in some fabulous old towns and rural scenery.
The cars will likely remaim out of my reach but maybe ill get to vidot some of these wonderful places.
It was a pleasure meeting you both last weekend at Brooklands.

It's great to see all the locals turning out for this. I know the same thing happens around Duns for the Jim Clark Rally, let's hope we can get some similar turnouts around the UK now that the law allows roads to be closed for Motorsport.

Lovely , absolutely lovely. I must say Ivan , your Ferrari V12 sounds a lot sweeter ( as they should sound! ) than many others on other channels from so - called specialists. Their cars are lumpy sounding by comparison, don’t know if because cars not used enough or carbs too rich , out of balance etc, credit to you Sir. Lovely , again to watch this video. A ray of sunshine .

Ive just goes into grass cutter mode. In a THE Ferrari.! Sadly, so often the case here in Europe. Especially when they think theirs is the superior car.
