The dev of this game is Estonian. Koni is a word for a cigarette in Estonian, which immediately makes me think about the smoker on the catwalk. No idea if this is helpful. There is also the fact that in the game you can see a lot of Estonian writing on items, so trying to use Estonian language translations of already found clues could lead to something. Oh and the Bible was the first ever text written/translated in Estonian.
Maybe idk, the password ends up revealing the name of the dude on the catwalk and he was the one that escaped the carbon steel game? (sorry for the bad grammar, english is not my first language)
My theory is that maybe the dealer is one of the creatures that was experimented on/captured. It escaped from the explosion and is now looking for revenge. Maybe?
That doesn't really make sense with the context that the dealer is not only playing by the rules, but doesn't force you to play the game or anything Though, the idea of a monster escaping containment and then immediately starting a russian roulette ring in a night club is really funny
I'm sure someone must have mentioned this, but, in old Linux stuff, "!" at the beginning of a line sometimes indicates that the text that follows is a command that is to be run by a command interpreter. And "cat " is the old Unix/Linux command to write a file to a screen. Taken together, "!cat " at some prompt might imply sending the contents of a file to the screen.
to be fair, the ARG creator made sure we didn't. if we did, the password would be changed or something (this was a warning in the official Critical Reflex Discord server, the publishers of BSR Stream ver.)
This will probably get buried, but I find it interesting that the white shadows in the Koni Äriksön bubble (the blue one under the phone advert) seem different from the words they are supposed to be shadowing (while trying to highlight it, I found that the words seem to be Volta Aricson (not mispelled)). I would also recommend seeing if anything comes from the favicon, though it seems to just be "$$". (I would like to be at least mentioned as the spotter if anything comes of this) (Edit: Looking at the failed passwords, it seems this Aricson tidbit was found already)
According to the ARG wiki, Rita (the ARG creator) has said that once we find the password it should be obvious, and not something that only makes sense once we try it. Although that was said a while ago and they still haven't found the password, but still. Kinda funny to imagine we might all be missing something really obvious somehow.

maybe you need to specifically look at the volta of the e-mail poem? In this instance, it feels like the "turn" happens in line 8: "and still it brings more comfort"
Could it partially have something to do with the player character from Carbon Steel? It was confirmed that the poem isn't a poem but a "What am I?" riddle. In that sense the first line "(1) they won't ever forgive me or will i not forgive myself. i made a wish upon a falling star and it brought me nothing but misery." would refer to the player realeasing the monsters that killed and forced them into 'the shutdown'. The wish would make most sense referring to the players wish to earn a years worth of money in the three days of working in the facility. "(2) the machine hungers" while it is a bit of a stretch to say that its the machine used to pull creatures up from the pit it could also mean..."(3) fed by booming shots" In this instance instead of a loud noise booming would have to mean the forceful/powerful or crazy high amounts of anesthesia used to knock the creatures out during testing. After this I started drawing blanks and couldn't come up with anything for lines 4-9. If this makes any sense please lmk because everything else I've come up with like "slot machine", "war" "gambling" has already been tried as the password and did not work.
Just a handy tidbit of info regarding Carbon Steel: the "monsters" in that game are actually animals that've been immensely warped by the intense pressures of the depths to the point of unrecognizability. The "execs" within the game stated that they were doing experiments to see how subterranean pressures cause severe mutations on surface-dwelling lifeforms. And if you choose not to try and escape (yes, there is a choice), the guys up top will say that because of your testing expertise, they've decided to make your character the first *human* test subject to undergo this process. Then, you're knocked out by someone from behind, and when you wake up, where are you now? That's right, the *same* test tube that you've been pulling the creatures up with, going through the *same* test of being sedated and having data extracted from you. I feel like Tom (more or less, intentionally or not) neglected to mention this bit of info, and that it adds some extra context to what's going on-

I don’t know if it relates but in Dante’s inferno the judge of the dead is king Midas who sends them down the opposite of bringing them up. After inferno they go to purgatory. The goal of inferno in some guesses is to rescue bellatristia, or bellatrix (depending on version, probably misspelled). I have some information that may help; I was playing casually when i started too have very bad luck, I was on the second round of normal mode when I died, I thought it would send me back too the main menu like it usually does, but it cut too my character in the bathroom of the club being brought too life by a shadowy figure (who I guess might be the same figure that we see in the hallway smoking at the beginning of the game) anyways, the figure explains how we are lucky he had a defibrillator on hand, then says “get up, the night is still young”. When you then go back too the roulette room, the dealer says “welcome back” and resumes us on the second round without having too sign the waiver again.. it might be nothing, but I haven’t really seen this mentioned online, and was surprised when it happened in my playthrough… So I figured I would share.

At this point are we suppose to love or hate FNAF for being not the spawner of Mascot Horror Games, but the spawner for the Most Vague sometimes pointless senseless hidden lore on the ones who got inspired to make the most convoluted lore finding possible
The smoker is the last player of Buckshot roulette, and he smokes the cigarettes that the dealer gives you during the game. Cigarettes that give you back your health back.
I'm not sure if this has been thought about yet or not, but apparently, Sony Ericsson phones used to have secret menus you could access. Not sure if this would translate to the game/website phone or password, though. In order to access the secret menu and mobile software version, you'd have to hit the arrow keys and the Asterix button in a specific order (right, *, left, left, *, left, *). There were other codes and menus besides this one. Sorry if this isn't helpful.
We can assume that the phone will be used to translate a string of numbers into letters or a string of letters into numbers. (but probably numbers into letters). Try using it as a decoder on anything that may look like a clue. (even on things you already used. nothing stops the creator from using the same clue for multible things as they created their own cypher with the phone) Anther note: This kind of developer (that makes ARG's more hard that they intend) tend to put much more clues than you think - and they also tend to pick each word they say carefully. Go throw anything they wrote in the discord and patch notes of their games, maybe you will notice a pattern.
Another theory: The dealer is another victim who has trauma from playing the last dealers game and took his spot to ease the trauma. Edit: most likes ive ever gotten 😃
So the line about "making a wish upon a falling star" is talking about making a deal with the devil right? maybe we're looking for a specific demons name? something closely associated with greed, maybe Mammon? don't know much about demonology.
If it’s to do with a specific demon’s name, then it is worth noting that Satan does connect with the game (weather that be literal or metaphorical, like god) because, there are a few names that the game doesn’t let you use as they’re already on waivers, these are “Dealer” “God” and surprise surprise “Satan”, however, there is only reasonable proof that God (weather literal or metaphorical) died, which means that it’s likely that “Satan” both played and won the game
What if the "we have all we need to solve it" doesn't mean the way to solve it is in the games and trailers, but in the ARG itself? Maybe by encrypting a known word in B64, or taking a phrase or word from the biblical passages? Seems like everyone is so busy with ingame they're neglecting inlife.
Here's some ideas I have: The registration number on the Koni screen and the text letters of the phone might be related. If we're diving into Carbon Steel, much of that involved different formulas and ratios needed for the drugs involved. Perhaps something form there is involved.
Basing it off another comment about how the "smart kitten" comment was a clue itself and how theres a !cat command on the phone, and since we're going into bibical mentons and history, what about the ancient Egyptians? They worshipped cats and treated them as if they were their god. You see? The mention of God pops up again. The password should have some relation to either the Egyptians or another biblical reference. Why would the creator respond to everything interesting with the "good kitten" and deleting everything that could further entertain more progress? Its something to do with the !cat command that comes with the phone. Or another theory i saw, the smoker and the cigarettes. One thing im curious about, is the smoker that's there, and why do you get more lives when you smoke specifically? Whats the relation to smoking that gives you another life? One last thing that catches my eye. The contract. Another thing that seems in place, but also out. The crazy bibical mentions, yet the contract? Yes it seems like it's to protect them, but also? Reminds me of selling your soul. Contracts are often put with the idea of souls, and also the devil. "Dealing with Satan" is one phrase that reminds me of this game. You sign a contract, you're selling your soul to the devil. You're playing roulette with the dealer? You're dealing with the devil. All of these things you do with the "dealer" are things that were looked down upon with biblical stories.
This guy is actually doing such a good job after matpat. Must be hard for him but he is doing it impressively. Props to this guy for filling such big shoes.
ok, i havent seen this yet. and if it was mentioned in the video I must have zoned out. but when that person noted that there were 9 lines in the poem with the dev's response. has anyone just tried to see if there was a letter pattern in the poem? the verses of the poem don't actually follow a specific pattern eg, iambic pentameter. so what if either the first letters or last letters of each verse spell something? and or can be switched over to be an abbreviation for something? or we change the first letters of each verse into numbers using the keypad on the phone?
ok so the letters are TIITAIIAT, which if I changed it to numbers is 844824428, which then if I changed that into letters if I were typing a text on an old phone would spell tutatuat. This translates in latin to "to protect"
The dev of this game is Estonian. Koni is a word for a cigarette in Estonian, which immediately makes me think about the smoker on the catwalk. No idea if this is helpful. There is also the fact that in the game you can see a lot of Estonian writing on items, so trying to use Estonian language translations of already found clues could lead to something. I have some information that may help;
I was playing casually when i started too have very bad luck, I was on the second round of normal mode when I died, I thought it would send me back too the main menu like it usually does, but it cut too my character in the bathroom of the club being brought too life by a shadowy figure (who I guess might be the same figure that we see in the hallway smoking at the beginning of the game) anyways, the figure explains how we are lucky he had a defibrillator on hand, then says “get up, the night is still young”. When you then go back too the roulette room, the dealer says “welcome back” and resumes us on the second round without having too sign the waiver again.. it might be nothing, but I haven’t really seen this mentioned online, and was surprised when it happened in my playthrough… So I figured I would share.
you tried 'password'?

Games you should definitely play and theorize about.

The smoker is the last player of Buckshot roulette, and he smokes the cigarettes that the dealer gives you during the game.
Cigarettes that give you back your
health back.
If he is the last player, then that means after the after the end, we become the smokers, and the loop repeats

Ngl. I love how after a finished game we get a bill that counts up how many things we used and charges us for it
I'm not sure if this has been thought about yet or not, but apparently, Sony Ericsson phones used to have secret menus you could access.

Buckshot Roulette became one of my favorite indie games, and I didn't even know about the ARG.

We can assume that the phone will be used to translate a string of numbers into letters or a string of letters into numbers. (but probably numbers into letters).
Try using it as a decoder on anything that may look like a clue.
(even on things you already used. nothing stops the creator from using the same clue for multible things as they created their own cypher with the phone)
Anther note:
This kind of developer (that makes ARG's more hard that they intend) tend to put much more clues than you think - and they also tend to pick each word they say carefully.
Go throw anything they wrote in the discord and patch notes of their games, maybe you will notice a pattern.
Another theory: The dealer is another victim who has trauma from playing the last dealers game and took his spot to ease the trauma.

The dealer isn't human. He has a floating head, and a pair of floating hands. He's not a human at all.
"monsters deep within the earth" sounds like the monsters came from the 9 circles
maybe these monsters are actually demons?

Here's some ideas I have:
The registration number on the Koni screen and the text letters of the phone might be related.
If we're diving into Carbon Steel, much of that involved different formulas and ratios needed for the drugs involved. Perhaps something form there is involved.
good idea ill try sum
All of these things you do with the "dealer" are things that were looked down upon with biblical stories.

ok, i havent seen this yet. and if it was mentioned in the video I must have zoned out. but when that person noted that there were 9 lines in the poem with the dev's response. has anyone just tried to see if there was a letter pattern in the poem? the verses of the poem don't actually follow a specific pattern eg, iambic pentameter. so what if either the first letters or last letters of each verse spell something? and or can be switched over to be an abbreviation for something? or we change the first letters of each verse into numbers using the keypad on the phone?
ok so the letters are TIITAIIAT, which if I changed it to numbers is 844824428, which then if I changed that into letters if I were typing a text on an old phone would spell tutatuat. This translates in latin to "to protect"
tried them as the password but they didn't work
ngl that would have been awesome if I found the password tho
tutatuat also translates to "acquaintance" from estonian, also didn't work for the password
this list is almost 3000 passwords long and we still haven't found anything
