I’m a young 71 year old who exercises, eats healthy, pretty laid back these days. I have no trouble falling asleep but wake several times to pee or just wake. I’ve tried all the hacks and nothing seems to work. Some nights I wake every couple hours and sometimes can’t fall back to sleep. Frustrating. I go to bed about 10 and get up at 6. I limit water after 7 pm. I’ve tried various supplement like magnesium with no success. When I was younger with growing children and much more stress I slept like a baby!! Old age?? Hormones?
Hey sassy, thanks for writing in and I'm sorry to hear about the frustration. They do say your sleeping needs to diminish the older you get. However, I can still under your concern. 1. Hide the clock. 2. We recently bought a noise machine with a variety of sounds: sea, birds, rhythmic train, etc. But the steady sound of air blowing (ssshh) has been so beneficial I'm not even interested in trying the other sounds.
I truly love your website Anthony. Your information is so incredibly insiteful. You are truly the Jack Lalanne of our generation. The routines and diet you give us is perfect. I always pray and meditate before bed it along with melatonin helps so much! Thanks a lot for your guidance 🙏
Thank you so much @ShaneJBurke1 - I really appreciate such a positive comment. Meditation and prayer before bed is a great way to wind down, relax your mind, and get some good sleep.
i love ur vids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A shower helps me. Some nights I wake up after 5 hours, and some nights I sleep 7 straight, uninterrupted. When I work out, then get only 5 hours, was my workout a waste of time? Tearing down the muscle fibers, but no healing? I get so frustrated when I can't get 7.
@vmonk1474 - Showers can be very beneficial, so am happy they help you. If you only get 5 hours, the workout is definitely not wasted. There are so many other benefits to working out than just muscle growth, so keep grinding and use the information in this video to help you get 7. I have my fingers crossed for you!
Hey V Monk, thanks for writing in! Even if you aren't getting a full night's sleep, your workout was certainly not a waste! Only if you continuously are stacking sleepless nights while working hard intensely can you cause some issues with your recovery. But in terms of helping with your sleep, we have an entire playlist of helpful videos that you can find here: pulse.ly/x3h7bnk7np Best of luck and hopefully you can find some nuggets in there! -The FFP Team

Yes @CallMeCygnus - Both very good ideas. Sound machines can be great. I know people who use sound machines, who say it's been a gamechanger!
