TheOldTopleaf Phantom Manor is one of my favorite versions of the Haunted Mansion story. It's just so unique and (pun not intended) quite haunting. I almost love it as much as the original, but nothing beats the original.

The thing with Queues. Since Im studying linguistics and all. Different countries have different distances when it comes to social and personal space. For example, in Spain, our personal space is pretty small (it just is), but in other countries, you need like over a meter in diameter of personal space.
Having that in mind, when you are in a Queue, with lots of different European countries, personal space tends to "not exist", they dont respect it, its just, its different. Basically personal space in Europe is (dont get 5cm close to me, but 10cm is fine. Exagerated, but you get the point).
Also, if you get distracted looking at all the pretty pictures and props, people will just pass you, not because they are rude, but because they just dont bother having their time wasted by people who stop. Its more like "While you stop and look at the props, im going to continue through the queue, because I want to get to the ride".

Adventureland looks so cool! It was all closed for refurbishment last summer. My crankypants of a son was so upset with all the closed rides and lack of allergy-free food that he swore he would never be back at DLP, but Justin, you have done your duty because now my Robert can't wait to go back. @livefastdiepoor @justinscarred Do the chefs at the Castle Club cook the food just like the stateside Parks? I read that the grave with the heartbeat sound is Melanie's. Henry, her father, didn't want her to leave home. The groom, as soon as he married her, was going to take her away from Thunder Mesa and Henry just didn't approve of that. Melanie waited in vain. Didn't anyone think to check the attic?

    • @C.V.20

Meghan Mc Clamma I don’t think so, the guests slowly left the Manor leaving Melanie alone in Manor with a bunch of butlers and maids. Maybe she didn’t check the attic because no body went to the attic.

I know it sounds weird but the idea of "personal space" is a part of speaking english. Other languages don't have it.
If you're in a room full of French speakers, for example, they can be an inch away and not think twice about it.
Also the skeleton laughing maniacally is damn scary.

I absolutely loved the caves. Did them back in January 2017 when I was there. I found it interesting that there were initial plans for them to build a splash mountain attraction. I lived in London for a year and a half and have been to Paris (including DLP) on several occasions. The weather is actually freezing during the winter periods and during the summer the weather fluctuates but it tends to be cooler with spurts of warm fronts now and then. It wouldn’t make sense from a climate perspective due to fluctuating temperatures for the splash mountain ride to have been successful. Disneyland Paris is my favorite Disney resort outside of the United States.

Love it, Ally is sitting on a skull throne surrounded by other skulls formations, giving off an adorable smile. Kind of "Hey, how's it going?" vibe. I also found it weeeird that while you are on the Jolly Rodger, I'm having some Jolly Rodger candy while watching. I love that stuff. I have seen a video put out by Disney on how they updated Peter Pan's Flight there. They added some new action effects, better paint, and materials so the black light makes them pop out really well. Plus a few extra hidden Mickey's to boot. Those type of improvements should be done, or possibly have been done, in the parks over here. One last thing, I've had many friends travel to Europe numerous times and they have told me about how "Personal space" is a concept that does not exist there. They said it could get quite annoying because of how pick-pocketing seems to be a sport in some areas, but you do get used to it. But in the reverse, it's not like we here don't have our strange quirks that may annoy those from Europe also. I couldn't help but notice in the end in the background a redheaded woman holding a Mickey head balloon. Leather coat and um, leather pants. How do you be flexible enough to get on some of the rides? There is no way in heck I could do that. I would just hurt myself horribly somehow! Keep having fun over there, because from watching these going there and staying at the hotel looks like a new bucket list item.

currently starting to save to go back to Paris. Ive only ever been there once when I was 14 (2004/5) in the Winter when it was quite empty, but it was the best school trip ever! (apart form the morning seminars) but we got to go in before the gates were open, go backstage and stay there until the gates closed. It was so good - and my first experience on bigger rides at the time. Big Thunder Railroad is my fave and Frontierland my fave area of the Paris one. Great video mate! Whilst DLP is my closest Disneyland Park, oddly I've been to Disneyland in Anaheim more often…! And every time I visit DLP I always seem to forget what major Disneyland staples it *doesn't* have, like a Splash Mountain, or a Jungle Cruise... but I do think the various theming elements (such as the dragon under the castle, the pirate caves and the massive expanse that is Adventureland) make up for it!

According to Tony Baxter, they decided to go with adventure isle rather than Tom Sawyer island because it was easier to translate into multiple languages and Europeans were less likely to be familiar with Tom Sawyer, they didn't realise that Disney were going to do so many pirates of the Caribbean movies in the years to come, so the pirate influences came more from Peter Pan than anything else

Seeing phantom manor in this level of detail makes me think - you should make a video about the Western River Ride - the Disneyworld ride which was never built, but of which parts have shown up in other rides - like such as this old west section!

Maybe now that Disney completely owns Disneyland Paris, they're going to take advantage of all that space! 😉
